I should be something more aking to the wave cooker. a small arc targeting whatever is closest to you. Keep the overclock sticky fuel, make another one that can slow enemies. Maybe something that change how fast is damages enmies.
It needs to be reworked altogerther, not just a few stats changes.
Fire on ground is only at the edge of the beam so totally useless, you gain way more from extra beams, and if you manage to get the 2 extra beams before the 3 extra beams you are golden. But yea, RNG.
You're best off picking some acid weapon as support since the acid status enhances the subata damage.
Fire damage right now is just garbage.
Every other status effect at least does something other than damage which kinda justifies it as support because damage over time in general sucks but fire is the only element that has no benefit other than dot.
There isn't even really any reason to have anything fire as a support weapon, it just doesn't do anything, no knockback, no debuff, no buff, nothing.
Something people need to remember. EA is just a beta test you're paying for. Give the feedback, sure, but remember that working out these kinks is exactly what EA is supposed to be for. Yes, I know there are games that never leave Early Access and just use the EA status as an excuse to have their game always be a buggy mess. But those are more the exception than the rule.
Even after buffing it's still contender for one of the worst weapons in the game
and I firmly believe every starting weapon must be viable or complimentary in a kit. You can't have a class where the predominant strat is avoiding the starting weapon at all and hoping to roll general upgrades till level 5 so you can invest in your actual gun
Also, the elemental bonus from the interrogator is SO weird given decreasing 30% of upfront damage is already a disadvantage in itself but also it lower the DOT since it seems like the DOT is tied to the initial damage..... and so you can't actually ever get status efffects to be uncorrelated from weapon damage
