Oh and now we have the hoarders to consider too, seen it once out of the three runs since the patch (just haven't had time to play atm).
I had the lootbug level on Hazard 5 a few days ago. Was the first stage of the dive too. It was perfect for a Foreman Driller. Leaving the first stage with over 500 Gold was hilarious.
As for the hoarders, I'd say that they spawn once per run on Hazard 5. I find them on pretty much all of my runs and if I don't, it's usually because I was stuck fighting too much and didn't explore the whole map.
Magnets, might not even see one during a run or might get them on multiple stages. Haven't noticed any noticeable difference with Luck.
I've gotten magnets almost as soon as the stage started with very little bugs dead. It's either a very small drop chance on any kill or there could be multiple things affecting the drop rate. Whatever it is, I always play expecting a magnet not dropping. That way it'll be a pleasant surprise when one drops.
It would make sense in a technical way, to reduce the number of entity on the map.
As someone who play with turret a lot and rarely get kill XP, only the mining XP, i have a magnet almost twice a run, sometime more.
(a run is 5 level, not 1)
I can go several full runs without a single magnet and I can get a run with a magnet in almost every stage. But now that there is the company issued magnet relic it kind of makes the regular magnet moot. I actually feel the company magnet is TOO powerful.
That said they do feel more frequent than they were when I started the game at launch. Drop rate may have been adjusted but I still suspect it is tied to luck stat. Prior to the current patch that reset upgrades it was not uncommon to have 3 in a run, when my luck stat was higher before being capped by cores (luck has not exactly been a priority to improve with cores).

I think the developers have stats if the magnet used to drop a few per stage (unless you disallowed collecting stats).
In my game, I don't remember them dropping 2 times randomly or it was a bug. On the contrary, there were times when there was no magnet at all for me, I would go into the capsule and take offense that I forgot to pay attention to the mini-map, that there was a magnet nearby and I wouldn't have time to pick it up.
But now getting 2 magnets per stage has become possible!
Together with patch, which was released on June 25, was added artifact: Company Issued Magnet . To open it, you need to get 25 magnets in missions. Then it will be able to appear in the artifact selection when activating the capsule.

1. if I collect XP I get magnets very rarely on other hand if I ignore XP they most of time drop(tho it seems to be 50% of times, at first it seemed more frequent)
2. I rarely increase luck stat except general upgrades and the magnet drop varies between 0-1 or 3-5 so guess luck have no impact on it
3. For me magnets drop only from tank bugs nothing else
4. I never got 2 magnets per floor(if artefact was not involved)
btw magnet artefact seems to drop magnet near dropship, when stage is cleared(you collect only 50% of XP or value of collected XP is halved forgot which one)
You have to take averages, with rng 3-5 and 0-1 are always possible. When I was on 0 luck (launch of game for 15 runs, as luck was low priority) I averaged just under 1 magnet per 5 stages. When luck was maxed prior to patch I was averaging one magnet every 2 stages (50+ runs). After patch as my luck has been capped at 10 from upgrades (and rarely take it during runs) I've been averaging one magnet every 3 stages (15 runs).
Again it's possible drop rate was adjusted over time through patches but that's a noticeable trend imo. I'd have to record and replay what enemies drop magnets as I can rarely tell what specifically dropped it during gameplay, but it wouldn't surprise me if it drops more often from stronger enemies like praetorians.
