Most survivor games are not that polished they are jsut a bunch of assetts thrown around with some random bs flying around.
They are plenty responsive, maybe pay attention in the right places.
These dav's seem to have found that sweet spot, or are very, very close.
As VS clones goes this is one of the best, or shall be, it's extremely addictive.
If you don't mind playing actual objectives while killing stuff is secondary, go for it. If you want to get all the milestones unlocked, you can sink quite a few hours into it.
However, if you just want to mow down hordes of enemies, go with HoloCure. :D
The terrain system provides a lot of tactical choices. And the game is just plain fun.
I agree, and I'd add Scarlet Tower, Vampire Survivors and even Fatal Zone to that list as well. All are cheaper and much more complete. You actually feel your power grow in those game unlike in this one.
I do agree it's got a solid base and it's the most "professional" looking game in the genre so far as well. Nice graphics and audio. It beats the rest in presentation but the gameplay is behind the rest. Just my opinion.
Others I have played aren't as hard but they are fun as well.
