I set the Game.exe and Launcher.exe to Compatibility with Windows 7, and Administrator. And my save will load now at least.
But I'd still like to hear if there is a patch.
Thanks for the reply, but the .NET 3.5 does not fix it for me. And when I restarted my game with Compat 7 and Admin, I got the corrupted save issue again.
I did figure out a workaround that works 100% for me. My save game file is in:
C:\Users\Ferret\Documents\Activision\Spider-Man (TM) SD\Save
If I
1) Copy the save file to another folder
2) Delete the original save
3) Copy the save back to Documents
I can start the game and load the file. If I quit the game and start it up again, I get corrupted file. So I have to do steps 1-3 above every time I start the game. But, it does work everytime. And this is now without the Compat 7 and Admin options ticked.
My guess is the game does not set some sort of attribute on the file properly. Basically using Windows 10 instead of the game to recreate (move) the file resets this attribute properly.
Thank you :)
