Is this game worth buying?
I really loved the original Larry and every other Larry game. I saw some bad reviews at Metacritic. Are people just underestimating this game? According to screenshots and game video game looks great in my opinion. Is this game how different from original Larry?

Most people seem to dislike it because it's TOO similar to the old game. It has an obtuse interface. The animation is subpar and forgettable. However, the voice acting, particularly from the narrator is great, and the jokes are still there. It's definitely worth playing through once but is deserving a 75/100 in my opinion.

Yes, worth getting, Especially if your a Larry or an adventure game fan :) Bad reviews unfortunatly come from a new generation of console / fps gamers...

As a LSL fan, I really enjoyed the game... YMMV...

No, it is basically an overpriced remake of a remake. Don't support Paul Trowe and Replay.

Definitely, it's hilarious. It is an update of the original game from the 80s. Check out some of the walkthroughs prior to buying. Enjoy!

I already bought this, this is quite old thread. But well this thread helps potential buyers. :tgrin: In my opinion this game is really good, even though there is few new "extra puzzles". I would recommend this game who has played previous Larries. :csgostar::csgostar::csgostar::csgostar::csgostar:

In my opinion, no. Even setting aside the distastefulness of supporting Paul Trowe and Replay Games, this game is terrible. The narrator who replaced Neil Ross isn't anywhere near as good and completely fails to make chemistry with Jan Rabson as Larry. Almost all of the added puzzle elements range from superfluous to quite bad. I think what exemplifies their poor sense of puzzle design is they took a puzzle that worked perfectly fine in the VGA version of the game (the puzzle where you have to use the fire escape to get the pills in the window) and they ♥♥♥♥♥♥ it up so that it takes ages to figure out the exact sequence of actions you're supposed to perform. The difficulty in solving the puzzle should be in the logic, not the user interface.

If all we had to compare it with was the oldest LSL games, then maybe this game wouldn't look so bad, but we've had Larry 6 and 7 and this game is not anywhere in the ballpark of their calibre. This effort was a complete waste.
This game came out the same week I'd already played the original as well as the VGA remake (purely coincidence... I didn't even know there was a modern remake coming up that had been on Kickstarter!), so I'd decided against buying it.

The VGA remake is good enough, in my opinion

my adventure started from Larry 7, after that i played ( if that was possible ) or watched previous games, Larry Reloaded is exactly remake of VGA, jokes are still good ( even though some are old...really old....) but i never got more fun in point'n'nclick game since Larry 7. I'm not a player who wants 4k graphics and 60FPS support, i just play to have fun.

I've only tried this game for about 10 minutes, but there are a lot of things missing. You can't die at the start by getting run over, you can't check out the skip and then get stabbed etc. YMMV.

I might be wrong and now gonna give it a playthrough to see

No, don't waste your money. Terrible game if you don't know the first one, even worse if you do and remember the vga remake.

I've started playing and you can die by getting run over!

I find it as good as the original, though I'm missing the where's waldo parody which always made me laugh "yeah, baby!" If you are laid back and find it easy to relate to dorks, then definitely buy this one.
