Here for anyone who can't be bothered to watch a lot of blabbering and want to get straight to the point:
1.) Download Cheat Engine www.cheatengine.org
2.) With Leisure Suit Larry running, open Cheat Engine and press Select the Computer Symbol top left.
3.) Select the Leisure Suit Larry Process and press OK.
4.) Enter your current money in the search box on the right and press "First Scan".
5.) Go in game and change your money by either losing or winning money.
6.) Back in CE put your new current money into the searchbox and press "Next Scan". This should leave you with 1 result, if it's more than 1 just repeat step 5-6 until you have only 1 result.
7.) Doubleclick the result, doubleclick the value and change it to whatever you want. Now you can play the game and the money will update once it changes.
This whole process takes roughly 1 minute and is far faster than the usual casino save/reload process.
nevertheless i will use your guide in my video description if you dont mind :)
update: i have used your steps on my video description with your name in it.
have fun :)
The game would probably be collecting dust again if not for this money cheat. :)
And I don't have the patience to do the save/load thing to try and win enough money on those machines.
This is a more detailed explanation of Skite2001's tip if someone should need it.
Browse to C:\Users\username\AppData\LocalLow\N_Fusion Interactive\LSLR
Copy the path and just change username to whatever your username is displayed as in the user folder.
It doesn't matter where your game is stored, this is the path to your saved games folder.
If you are browsing manually, the AppData folder is usually a hidden folder so you may have to type it into the address field if you can't find it.
Open one of the .XML files (these are your Saved Games) in WordPad, or whatever you to edit text files with, Look for "TotalMoney" on line 10 and edit it to varInt="9999" for $9999 dollars.
Can't find it? Hit CTRL + F and search for money, should be your first hit.
Save changes, and load the saved game you just edited next time you run the game and you should be rich.
