Hynx Cleric: Weaken foes for as long as possible.
Hipster Mage: daMAGE. Hugo can also work, but I don't like the extra Threat which comes with it for this class. Saulo's another good choice, since more XP = more levels, and more levels also equals more damage.
ET Druid: +1 MP/round isn't much, but it's surprisingly useful early in the game, particularly when combined with Gaia's Blessing.
Jock Rogue: +1 attack goes further with Double Strike.
On your 2nd play through (or 1st, if you want to use XP potions) replace the Druid and Rogue with:
Hugo Bard: Using Hugo is risky, but Bards have great self healing, and the extra Critical chance comes in handy with Dissonance.
Ronaldo Shaman: +100% potion effect is fantastic, especially if you're going to be drinking lots of XP potions.
