So no real extra content then, just some less grinding for more $$$. Disgusting attitude, who would play D&D with a corrupt DM who would boost your stats for cash?
On the flip side you get an extra character, farming is less painful I assume, and I'm betting it saves a lot of time early game.
I don't agree with microtransactions, but this seems more like DLC, and at $1.25, I've seen much much worse, and yet people tend not to complain if it's labled DLC. Example: ROME 2, Blood and Gore $3. I remember seeing "sound effects" being sold in a game as well.
I guess it is, but it's not much different then pre-order bonus content, and I'd favor buying this then paying for gold directly.
You are spending real money by buying the game, what is a little more if you like the game.
Back ontopic, I got the standard edition, but was mightly tempted by the Deluxe edition. Probably the most appealing addition is the farm village map.
Comparing it to DLC in Tomb Raider is ridiculous, this is just spending money for ingame money. Pay to cheat. In Tomb Raider the DLC is mostly useless items, skins or multiplayer maps that don't actually help you play the game at all.
Please Zigi, i've read many threads in the past hours and you keep repeating the same arguments. We're no debating about if micro transactions are fair or not. I don't like'em either so i wont pay'em, Deluxe is a microtransaction in disguise, so i won't buy it.
BUT I like game mechanichs and retro-pixels aesthetics, also i like pen and paper RPGs, so i'll buy the standar ed.
This thread was just to kow the differences between Standar and deluxe option
I've already buy & played the game. It's really funny and its very easy to earn gold, so ingame MT are absolutely unnecesary, those are there for way too lazy players.
It's true, MT are useless in this game. You play perfectly withwout them, in fact the game is designed to be played without them! So... don't use them and just play, if you wanna!
Obviously people like Zigi, who are so caught up in their crusade against MT games that they can't get an objective response, are going to tell you to not buy the game at all. However, if you like the look of the game enough to buy it, an extra $1.25 isn't going to hurt the bank. :)
