Greetings, persons playing people playing characters.

Today is a grand day, Knights of Pen and Paper +1 Edition is getting official SteamOS support! That means it will be 10 times* easier and more relaxing to play from your couch using one of those awesome Steam controller things.

Patch notes

• Added Paradox Cloud Services (Log in via the black button on the menu screen to share your savegames between computers.)
  
• Steam Controller Optimization: Hid launcher settings window to allow start-up with only controller (Hold "Shift", "Ctrl" or "Alt" (on Mac) to trigger the window.)
  
• Miscellaneous bugfixes.

Known issues

• Minor interraction issues between PDX account menu and Steam Controller. (Solve by logging in using mouse & keyboard once)
  
• The Steam Controller is only supported in mouse emulation mode.
  
• The Steam Controller is currently not supported on Mac and Linux.

My saved games just deleted from the update! Why did this happen?

OMG, after updated, I got lost my saved games, too.

The save-file was indeed gone for me as well (or rather, the symbolic link to it), I made a new symbolic link and the save worked. But this is unfortunate for anyone who has no backup.

I don't have backup so I it's really bad to loose my characters... 25+ hours I did put in them.

Save file gone. Thanks a lot, I was almost done with the game. And it's too late to get a refund of course.

Does this at least mean you fixed the broken Haunted Fall Missions or the fact that you can't use XP items if you have 7 healing items because of the fact that the edible item list doesn't scroll?

Same problem here. It just auto-updated and BOOM! All is gone... Can this be fixed or is it lost alrdy?

Next time maybe give us a heads up. Steam auto-downloads updates if Steam is active. It's not like we manually update and check in advance if the update breaks your saves because there's never a need to do so.

You really should revert to the previous build right now so you don't piss off all your customers.

I think if we don't have backup,we won't be able to play as our old characters. The developers can't fix it. I'll see if I can find a resoultion.

No this is unfixable. You can't just make an update that restores deleted files.
So the damage they just did is permanent. However I'm hoping they're trying to fix it before all their players have started Steam.

Imagine the panick on their faces right now lol
