Knights of Pen and Paper +1 -~DLC Explained~-
I own the +1 edition. I noticed there was also a "Deluxier" edition. I have found from reading online that the deluxier edition has more content than the +1 edition, so I decided to buy it as it is on sale for $4.99.
When I added the deluxier edition to my cart, Steam told me I already owned it, however I do not own the "Haunted Fall" DLC which is supposedly part of the deluxier edition........so something is wrong....
I noticed in the forum that one of the reviewers said that the dev did something shady when he rolled out the dlc and people who bought the +1 edition before the deluxier edition didn't get the deluxier edition content......
I noticed another reviewer saying that if you bought the +1 edition before the deluxier edition was available that you got all of the content automatically EXCEPT the Haunted Fall DLC.

Which of those things is true? If I want the definitive experience what do I need to buy?

I can't get a description for the Deluxier edition on Steam, can someone confirm that it does include the Haunted Fall DLC?

So my 2 questions are: If I own the +1 version do I have the deluxier content minus the Haunted Fall DLC already?
If I buy the deluxier edition will the Haunted Fall DLC be included?

I remember the days when if you wanted to play a full version of a particular game all you had to do was buy the game...... lol

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

The haunted fall DLC is included with the deluxier version, or you can just buy the DLC itself.

If you want to buy the deluxier version but already have the +1 version, there is no way to upgrade except to permanently delete the +1 version from steam, which will NOT delete your game files, and then buy the deluxier version.

When you delete a steam game from your library, you're deleting it from steam, not your computer. You still have the files of the game on your computer, you just can't play the game while hosting it via steam.

After buying the deluxier version of the game after deleting the +1 version from steam, the deluxier version will use the same files and pathways as the +1 version did.

To delete a game from steam, go to the support page, which is on the right hand side, and click "I want to permanently remove this game from my account". After that, you can download the deluxier version of the game. Keep in mind that the deluxier version will only show in the DLC part of the game page, so the title of the game will still be "Knights of Pen and Paper +1".

Hopefully this helped. :)

I noticed that also, but I learned from other posts that the Upgrade from GoG is not compatible with the game from Steam.

Apparently the upgrade can't be released on Steam because of some anomaly in the way Steam catalogs games and DLC.

The Deluxier Version was on sale for $4.99 during the Winter Sale. I am going to wait until it goes on sale again to buy it.

I have the base game now on my tablet and I play it a lot. It is a fun little time killer.

It's on sale right now. I just removed +1 edition from my account and then bought deluxier edition about an hour ago. I'm definitely going to think twice before buying anything else from these guys.
