Linux - opening screen just flies downward off my desktop

So this is super weird. Finally getting around to trying this out (I'd acquired it via a bundle of some sort a long time ago), but the opening screen, once launched, quickly moves itself downward until it's completely off of my screen. I did manage to hit the "play" button on the way down once, but that didn't actually affect anything. Super weird, never seen anything behave like that before:
