Messi overrated?

Why is it so easy for messi to get a high match rating and win awards in this game? I mean i know messi is good in real life but in this game shouldnt his performances be based on how well he plays? In my save there's a match where he scores only 2 goals but ends up with a 10.0 match rating, meanwhile my strikers need to score 5 goals to get a 10.0 rating.

he probably had like 99 percent dribbleing succes pass succes , good tackling succes etc everything well lol u dnt get good rating scores just because u score goals

Strikers are primarily judged on goals and assists i guarante you that a striker with 100 percent passing dribbling and tackliong succes would still not get above a 7.2 without getting any goals or assists. i dont understand what you mean by the first part but if huntelaar played better than both of the don't you think he deserves to win? keep in mind that that award isn't the world player of the year. It's the best player in europe award.

huntelaar would never score that many goals and be the best in europe , iknow its a game but some realism here , out of all the players that could win it , it was him lol i like this game but theres a view weird things happening with it atm tbh

You obviously don't know huntelaar if you think he doesn't have the potential to score that many goals in a year.

His dribbling and key passes number contribute to his rating, no matter which position he played. also, 21 MoM mean something, i guess.

I can’t believe reading through all these posts and on-one’s made mention of the match/team reports (this plays a massive part in real life football). I just cannot understand why this is not a big issue with SI. I remember from FM10 you’d get a report which will instruct you perfectly on how to approach games e.g. playing deep; slow tempo; pushing high up the defensive line; playing more direct, to exploit your opponents weaknesses (it helped massively and was much more realistic).
I like to reward myself with some hours of FM whenever I complete a Uni assignment or exam, but I must say I feel completely ripped off playing FM14; what a shambolic attempt of improvement. My Sunday league team I coach defends better than these so called elite footballers (according to this game). I’m raging over the many new useless features of the game; how do I know how wide or narrow my team is playing? How in hell does Messi win ballon d’or every year when he scores 12 (he’s never scored more than 16 goals in a single season while I’ve been playing FM14) goals in a season but has an average rating of 8.78 with 8 assists?
You know FM is failing when they can’t even keep up with Lionel in real life. Kmt anyone know how to updated FM10 with FM14s transfers? Because I’ll much rather be playing that instead of this rubbish ;)

If you knew Huntelaar you'd know the backstory there is in the dutch national side where he is runner up for goalscoring legend just by being a sub.

(Van Persie has scored more but he has had horrid droughts in the national squad which never justified him playing whilst Huntelaar was being top of the league in Germany consistently)

Klaas Jan Huntelaar is just a finishing striker, he's the best poacher in the game, there are better forwards in other aspects but putting him as a poacher and just that he's the best there is.

Having knowedge about someone doesnt meant you have to have met him face to face. For all you know i could live in germany and have met him at a schalke game.
