The computer cheats?
A) Me: 21 shots on target, 7CCCs, 3 goals disallowed, hit woodwork 3 times...Crewe: one shot one goal...i lose 0-1. and it seems to happen often. (once every ten games ish)

B) Buying players, i have to pay over the odds for a player,he rejects me then he signs for a team lower league than me....for even less wages than i was offering.

How do you senior players keep battling thru scenarios like that? i realise you cant win every match, my team are trained up to three formations and fully fluid in tactics, yet i still seem to get freak results like i mentioned above.

Thinking about sacking FM off for a while. is FM15 any better?

Thanks for any advice/comments.

Fm 2015 Is far better, playerd from 2009 version

A) Do you use possession tactics? Your team tend to have the ball a lot but shots usually tend to go wide due to the opposing defense being chunked up and the risk for possession tacts are ofc that you might lose ball in a terrible spot leaving the opposite team a nice chance for counter. Also letting your players be very fluid in what they do might end up badly if your whole squad can't act as one "teamwork" etc.

B) You gotta look up if the player even wants to play in the country your team is in or in your team at all for that matter, some players also don't want to go to your team due language problems & nationality issues within your squad and vice versa. I've also noticed that players tend to ask for more "to their contract" depending on your career and experience, past season achievements etc. Please also Consider - Age/current contract/value to team - before you show interest in a player.

Tl;DR

A) Make sure your team can do what you ask them to do.

B) Consider that the players (and clubs for that matter) have preferences and want to be compensated if some terms are not met.

A) Every so often the game does throw up these freak results and I agree it's bloody annoying (once I went through a phase where every time I scored the opposition got an instant reply. this happen 13x in a row!). However in real life this occasionally happens too so I usually go with it.

This is less likely to happen with better quality players or if you ensure your players don't have conflicting instructions set up e.g. preferred moves, player instructions, team instructions, shouts. Personally I run my teams with relatively few instructions so there is less chance of this.
The only real solution to the odd freak result is to save before each game. Personally I don't see the point in cheating just because you've had a bad result but very occasionally if the result is genuinely bizzarely freakish and my players have behaved like they've been bribed by FIFA I'll replay the match and accept the new result (even if i lose again)

SIGNING PLAYERS: Several things can influence whether a player will sign for you. These include:
1) The reputation of your club e.g obscure, national, continental, world.
2) YOUR rep e.g were you previously an international or sunday league player. Have you won any trophies?
3) Whether you're playing in europe.
4) Some players have a preference to play in certain countries or for a favourite team (check in the players details once you've scouted him)
5) The status you offer a player. e.g. key player, back up etc.

As an example I played St. Andeau a tiny club in Barcelona. I turned them into the richest and most successful club in the world, however some players still turned me down to play for barca or another giant club even though I offered better terms. I guess simply because despite having a world rep and numerous trophies my club still weren't Barca and didn't have their history. Or perhaps because I didn't offer them key player staus

TRANSFER AMOUNTS:.
1) Once you've scouted a player it will give a range of figures that they can be signed for e.g. £12-16 million and an approximate wage they'll accept.
2) Some players have a minimum release fee in their contract (check this in the contract section of the players details)
3) Check your relationship with the players agent (again see players details) if the agent doesn't like you they'll screw you over when negoiating wages.
N.B. Always check your relationship with an agent before offering an existing player a new contract. If they don't like you ask the player to sack him before offering them the new contract and you'll get better terms.
4) A number of factors determine a player's value: his age (young players will increase over time as they improve, old players decrease), how long is left on his contract, has he recently won a trophy or been relegated? Remembering these things can save or make you a load of money. e.g. if you sell a player just after he's won the Champions league /World Cup you can make a fortune.

Hope some of that has been helpful.

All the fan bois wetting themseleves at this, too many arseholes just sucking it up to a bad game. Oh incase any fanasswipebois wants to start go look on SI forums and see they actually admitted this was a problem and NOTHING has been fixed and now the new version is on the scene expect the stinking pile to stay the broken way it is.

I have seen the same problems: dominate a game and lose LOTS to that 1 shot at goal and always against a weaker team i.e. bottom 3 of league.

Over 10m rejected for a 500k guy obvs not worth it then watch him be sold at next window to a lower team for...... yep that 500k

Keepers catching ball then walking back 5-6 steps into net or off park for corner/goal hmm... yes happens in leagues allover the world

People need to stop buying new versions or they going to keep churning out untested crap expecting the players to find bugs.

Some top advice there guys thank you.
No point 'saving/reloading' as you cant do it in RL.
Much better game play if you take the results even if its a bitter pill to swallow.
Gonna try and drop most of my 'team shouts' and have just a few and see if they play any better, and drop player instructions too, gonna try your 'keep it simple/less shouts' approach.

@Spelunker....FIFA bribes??? hehehehe

I baught myself FM15 but not installed it yet....i hope its not as bad as Stompin_Stuntie says it is! might sack my save on FM14 and try FM15 if its better!

Thanks again guys, its nice knowing your all suffering too!

ok so im playing fm15 now. its worse than fm14!!!!
my team fully fluid in 3 tactics, yet i constantly get bummed 0-1 by fluke goals even when im dominating the match.

Started in the conference yet even when i play against part time teams they always seem to play like bloody Barcelona. (i watch the whole 90mins) apart from 0-1 the stats are all over my side of the scale.

The game is now unplayable for me, i have read the forums/SI/Sortitout et al i have seen formations, tried them myself and still get bummed, regardless if i go 'defensive' or 'control' i still get rolled over.

Swear you must all just 'save/reload' until you win a match.

Just think i wasted 35£ on fuxk all. Been a fan of FM/CM since the 90s but i think thats it for me now. This game has got far too hard, its no fun anymore....

even Rommel would struggle to out smart this game.

How do i add screen shots so i can show u lot what im whinging about?

Just lost at home 2-1....against Walsall

me: 8 fouls....2 yellow cards...and they also get 2 penalties (both scored)

(my team is set to stay on feet dont dive in, before anyone asks)
(Even comentary says ref had a bad game and 'favoured' the visitors)

they had 19 fouls.....and didnt get a single card...
Oh and i had my usual goal disallowed.

Am telling you the computer cheats.
This game is bollox
