Reviews are bought, social media activity is bought, youtube views are bought - everything is bought and botted. On Steam specifically, curators get the game for free and are asked to review it positively to create hype. This isn't the only game to do this. Heck, with so few reviews, I'm not sure it's actually more than devs and friends / family of theirs doing it although just like in discussions on the forums, it's always the level zero steam accounts that push some narrative the most.
