Most of the time I've had to restart my PC to fix it, as ctrl-alt-delete won't even bring up the task manager options. I've sometimes hammered ctrl-alt-delete over and over and then after like 3 mins it gives me the task manager, but it's not very reliable so far.
There's zero guarantee that the upcoming update will fix anything. It's been months but Microsoft hasn't said much, and I don't think they've even publicly acknowledged WWE as one of the games broken by the update. Only Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Assassin's Creed Origins and Assassin's Creed Odyssey have been listed as the affected games.
I hope it's fixed but I'm not holding my breath. My advice: do NOT update right away. Hold off and see how it's going for other folks.
