• Addressed a reported concern related to general gameplay settings not being applied to Universe

Online

• Addressed a reported concern related to the Guest Referee meter still being enabled after turning it off

When you go back into the game after the patch is installed, you will see this Yes/No message:

The version of this save data is old, it will need to be updated to proceed.
If you remove the game update, you will no longer be able to use this save data.
Would you like to update the save data?

You want to say "Yes" to this as your save data is still from the previous version of the game and is not compatible with the new patch. It will then update your save data to work with the updated game.
If you get something other than this message, and especially if it talks about overwriting the data, check first before pressing anything.

This patch made things so much worse. The game is basically unplayable now.

I just jumped on for the first time since the update and got a crash to desktop (CTD) as MyRise was loading. Went back in and MyRise loaded this time, but another CTD as I went to start the story. On the third attempt, I was able to get into the story and start the match, but the controls stopped working immediately (only able to use light strike). Eventually they started working again for about a minute, then my character froze in the middle of a run animation for 5 minutes. They finally came out of it, only for the controls to stop working again 2 minutes later. Once I got the pin and clicked Continue, another CTD.

If patches are going to be pushed, then there should be an option to roll back. 1.03 was rough too, but at least the game was mostly playable.

Make a new thread about this, listing your specs and what you've tried so far to fix it. And send a ticket in to 2K Support if you want the developers to know about the issue.

Warning of losing my save file again after 1.04 patch

Is anyone having this same issue?

After updating to 1.04 the game is warning me that it needs to update my save file and it could get deleted if I move forward. The warning message seems to be the exact one that made me lose my save file in early access.

I'm really afraid to move forward and lose my save file again. Anyone having this issue after updating??

I am not even able to get into the game either I select "Yes" or "No" for the question: would you like to update the saved data?..... very much pissed off 😤 anyone has any solution? I tried reinstalling as well. Thanks in advance if someone can help :)

This is normal. Every new patch you'll get a request to update the save data to that version. The launch day talks about overwriting the data.

Update: i put in for my refund request. 2K sucks and I refuse to buy any more 2K games even if WWE 2k25 was the only game available.

Every time a WWE game gets patched to a new version it tells you that the saves need updating, it's a totally different message to when it said your save file will be deleted due to missing DLC...

Me and my friend created custom superstar so that we can play together in an online match. but this caused the lobby to crash saying "This game session is no longer available". Then using readily available superstar, 15 minutes into the match got replaced with AI.
