Game not launching

am i the only one when trying to launch the game the screen goes white for 2 seconds and closes right after ?

I have a R7 7700x3d and rx7800 xt 32gb of ram mb asrock a620m

Same issue as you, with a Ryzen 5 2600 CPU, RTX 3080Ti, 64GB RAM.

On the rare occasions it does load, it works fine for hours, then the next time I come to play, it either closes instantly, shows a white screen then closes, gets past the white screen to the opening text then closes, or (very rarely) loads and works fine.

Cleared Steam's cache, verified all files, uninstalled and reinstalled VC, tried various older graphics drivers and the latest ones. Same issue and totally intermittent.

It only opens for me on one attempt out of every 30 >_< 3.5 hours of my "play time" is just constantly clicking on play.

It would be so less frustrating if it never worked since I'd then know I had more troubleshooting to do or wait for a patch. I checked the logs in %localappdata%/WWE 2K24 and it never records a crash so it just seems to think it should be shutting down before it's started. All the crash logs are empty.

It always worked, since i reseted my pc its doing that for me, every game works besides wwe2k24

i had a file named disput8.dll on wwe2k24 directory, i took it out and it fixed for me

I checked and didn't have that file - it sounds like one associated with ReShade or a mod.

Many people are having this issue. I have not been able to launch the game since the WCW DLC pack came out in November 2024. I tried to fix the game for about 6 hours doing different things. No luck. I just accepted that the devs did something to break the game for many people and most likely will not be fixing it. Second WWE gave I've had in the last 4 years that just quit working one day and never started working again. I honestly liked this game a lot, but have quit thinking about it for the most part, as I don't think I'll ever get to play it again. I hope next years game doesn't have this issue, and I've just moved on to playing other games in the meantime.
