In-game Settings: Turn off V-Sync if using a monitor above 70Hz and try to use Bilinear upscaling instead of Intel XeSS or AMD FSR (these last two regarding upscaling are known to cause issues).:badluck:

thanks for the info will give it a go
I have found a new solution to all of the crashing and freezing issues. Do a cache clear in Steam and then verify all of your game files. Here are the instructions on how to do this from 2K Support:

1. Launch Steam
2. Go to Settings and select Downloads
3. Select the "Clear Download Cache" button at the bottom
4. Select "OK" to confirm and acknowledge that you'll need to login to Steam again

Verify Integrity of Game Files

1. Right click the game from within the Steam library
2. Select Properties
3. Click on Installed Files tab
4. Select option to "Verify Integrity of Game Files"

Then after you do all of that restart your computer.

After this your game should work fine for a week or so. Then if it freezes again do all of this again. Crashes to desktop are sadly common and caused by bugs that 2K has never fixed. So far the only crash to desktop I have experienced is in Elimination Tag Team matches whenever I eliminate the first opponent and have to reverse the second opponents move with a dodge instead of a reversal. It always crashes to the desktop for some reason.

But this should fix your freezing issue and you should be able to play WWE 2K24 again. I think what causes the freezing is a memory leak that actually corrupts the WWE 2K24 cache in steam. When this happens you just have to clear the download cache so that it will re-download the WWE 2K24 cache files it needs and then it works fine. I hope this will fix your freezing and crashing problems with WWE 2K24.
