you should be able to extend rivalries for as long as you want in Universe Mode.

Seems like Rivalries only run for 4 weeks till next PPV. So the only way to extend the rivalry is to delete PPV's, have less PPV's in a year to extend the rivalries AND in the DLC they should create more universe mode rivalry cut scenes and situations.

You can set rivalry actions from the match card that will extend rivalries. These are specific to PPV rivalry matches. You also have a number of different effects that can only be applied during PPV rivalry matches in the same way.

"You can set rivalry actions from the match card that will extend rivalries" It doesn't allow you to extend it if its past 4 weeks and a PPV combined. Its greyed out if a rivalry has played out more than 4 weeks. It states that the conditions have not been met. Unless of course it IS a bug they haven't fixed and you are MEANT to be able to extend the rivalries indefinitely? Currently if a rivalry has been going on for more than 4 weeks and a PPV card arrives. That will end the rivalry and the extend option is grayed out.

When you want to extend the rivalry it says can only be extended if rivalry have been active 4 weeks or LESS. Meening if it's over 4 weeks, you can't extend it. It seems like the only way to extend the rivalry is delete PPV's so it cant end until a PPV. So a PPV once every 2-3months or a PPV 6 months if you want an extra long rivalry. That probably should be changed, so you can just simply extend rivalry indefinitely, regardless of terms. Unless a story arch suggests to END the rivalry NEXT PPV.

I'm trying out something now, maybe not have a rivalry match at a PPV at all and see if that extends it automatically, because they aren't fighting at the PPV. It's strange im sure when the game first released you could extend the rivalries for months. Now the option is just greyed out and says conditions not met. "Rivalries need to be active for 4 weeks or LESS to extend rivalry". Which seems strange. You should be able to to do 6 month rivalry's. 12 month rivalries. If you want.

ok...ive figured it out lol..If you have a rivalry going and you want to EXTEND it PAST 4 weeks, but STILL enjoy a PPV at the end of the month for that specific show the the specific wrestlers in the rivalry, make sure the wrestlers in that rivalry are not wrestling each other lol, HOWEVER they CAN wrestle each other in 4 way matches and it doesn't effect the 4 week rivalry dead line, tag team matches and triple threats etc, it seems. If this helps anyone that wondered why they cant have long rivalries or extend rivalries past 4 weeks anymore. So either delete PPV's so the rivalry goes longer or just don't have rival matches at the PPV. The rivalry then continues on, as normal next week. They need to have an extend indefinitely option Or even better 1 month rivalries, 3 month rivalries, 6 month rivalries, 12 month rivalries, with way more rivalry cut scene options. Including promos AS a rivalry cut scene if you want.
