It should all be there in the moves set list as well for all the different moves that you can do.
When they are on the rope (top or bottom upside-down), you can strike them with "X" or grapple them with "A or B" - it is similar to/when "catching the leg" in reversal.
And let us not forget about the Left Analog Stick which does different moves as well in conjunction with A or B.
This actually made me remember about long hold pressing vs "soft" tapping the button.
Some wrestlers have spectacular (flashy) Tree-of-Woe maneuvers.
I find I rarely want a hard whip. The one exception is when my followup is a ground move.
And in Battle Royales too of course. Hard whip + bump off is so much faster and easier than the impossible elimination minigame.
Don't play myfaction, so that's not really an issue. Battle royales are something I'd forgotten about. You are quite correct, hard whip and bump gets most off right sharpish. Just gotta be careful that another wrestler doesn't follow up by bumping you over while you are on the ropes. '22 used to do it all the time.
