Mic stuck on, insane people listening to live conversations, how to fix?
It appears when using the PS5 Dual Sense pad on the PC in WWE 2K25, the pad's mic is stuck on.

The mic is only supposed to work when you push the microphone button as I understand, should not always be live.

In my control panel sounds menu, the mic is not picking up sound unless I hold the button.
In game, the mic is active, I see it flashing on and off when sounds get loud in this room.

I asked a friend to join and sure enough she can hear the mic.

There is no way to disable it in game settings it appears, and disabling the mic of the controller in the sound control panel of Windows seems to be the only way to do it.

Absurd.

Is there a way to mute your own mic in WWE 2K25?
If not, that would be ridiculous.
A total invasion of privacy, and a grave design oversight.

Check the actual Steam Client setting for the "always on" (Open Mic) option and if it is set, use "Push-to-Talk".

Steam settings < Voice < Voice Transmission Type

It is not set to 'always on', it seems to be a unique issue with this game when paired with the gamepad.

I'll double check things later, it could be the 'steam controller settings' mixing things up, but I don't think I have that turned on...

Well, that is all I can say because I don't use Sony on a MS PC. :badluck:

Good luck to you, perhaps someone will have a better idea/suggestion. :yetuhappy:

Might have to change input/output from actual windows >Sound Settings, the DS5 likes to take control of drivers when paired.

(Im on Win 11 btw) go to your PC settings, then go to privacy & Security, then Microphone. Then Chose whatever option you prefer
