Why's it so hard and annoying to add friends to play with?

Absurd.

Hopefully WWE 2K25 has a better invite system than this game.

I personally am bewildered as to why modern games are so hard to add friends in.
Or the fact you cannot talk to half of them in many modern games, let alone add them in.

In the glory days you just clicked "invite friend" and they'd be in the game right with you, no screwing around.

These days you must set up a lobby, pick a character, THEN invite someone, or so on.
Same as Street Fighter 6, you're stuck using ONE character every time you fight online, to change that character you must do so before you create a lobby or challenge someone.

Whole thing is absurd, modern gaming devs have seemingly lost the plot.

Make games easy to invite your friends to play with again!
