No 4-Player Backstage Brawl??
So, I've recently ran into an issue. Yesterday while I was hanging with my 3 buddies, we had an plan to play backstage brawl. It only listed 2 out of the 4 of my controllers I've had connected to my PC with no way to proceed with 4 players. Is there a fix?

Does that only happen on Backstage Brawl, or other match types?

You can only do 1vs1 in backstage brawls.

Allegedly there is a Community Creations backstage arena out there you can use for multi-person. (I haven't tried it).
