Unlocking wrestlers locked behind MyFaction

Hi folks,

I'm a very casual player of this game.

I have no interest in MyFaction so does this mean that the wrestlers locked behind MyFaction will never be available to me?

Idk if this is a basic question at all because it has many moving parts and nothing is "set-in-stone" or so it seems at the time of this writing.

You buy many of these MyFraction "Persona" cards on the Card Market and a few are found in the DLC, you get one for just trying MyFaction (Sheamus '09 - MyFaction Starter Pack) so some are not so "out of reach" but some were limited time/edition through other means BUT the current consensus is that they will all be on the MyFraction Card Market for either VC or MFP and to find them use the filter in the Card Store for "Persona" and you can't miss them, as for the others, maybe someone else will help but it looks like they should be unlockable through the card store (I hope at least) because then you can just play the Weekly matches and such because one of these "Personas" is obtained through playing laggy Ranked matches - to add on, the "Nightmare DLC" has the Cody Rhodes "Persona" - I hope this helps a bit (plus I know Becky '18 is in the card store with Demastered Roman Reigns & '24 and Bastista '08 - can't miss them but use the filter tool and - oh yeah, one of them you play the MyRise mode, either one of them the game is not picky here, for the "Zero" Persona).

There are a bunch of persona cards you can buy in the card store, yes, and a number of others such as Juan Cena and Black Latex Rhea Ripley have to be unlocked by completing card sets: get 5 very specific cards from the random packs and you are rewarded with a "freebie" rare card. Others you can get through limited-time live events (It hit me: "live events" in reference to PLEs, except not premium?) like a few that are available RIGHT NOW or at least very recently, namely a Cody Rhodes persona (He looks no different on the card picture though) and a certain Big Poppa Pump currently on his second tour among live events, and if you missed him way back when he was being given away for free through a gift code, there's an action figure John Cena (oh, and an action figure Hulk Hogan from when he was in Japan). All of these, though, require that you obtain specific cards, and in the case of Live Events, that you use the wrestlers on these cards to win very difficult matches while jumping through hoops. MyFaction gameplay can be quite punishing which is a shame because obviously it's a big turn off.

Sounds as yes, especially if the servers shutdown in January 2026

Btw, you can still get Sheamus 09 for free just by playing the mode for first time, after opening your starter pack

Thanks for all your replies, folks. I also own WWE 2K23 where this "feature" is not present. I shall be passing on WWE 2K25!

Idk how "casual" you are but if you play the Weekly Towers (which are not bad to win) and Faction Wars (winning about 2 full 5 boss wars → 30 boss war wins total) it is possible to get 100K points tho it takes about 70 hours or so to complete (perhaps less for some people) so you could unlock a few (or one - I am hoping they drop in MFP prices).

It is sucky that 31 of them are stuck behind MyFaction tho.

200 matches in (about 90 hours), completed the Weekly Towers, totaling 150k, MFP this is going no where, they need to change these prices to MFP = VC and VC should be cut in half in price- they should have just made a Personas DLC but they are attempting to push people into online imo but what good is it if the servers constantly crash.

Anyways, there will be a fix soon for people that are wondering but not by the devs or pub - stay tuned.
