Anyways, I am under the impression that the WWE2k24.exe is compiled improperly causing users issues as it is a console-to-PC port, especially for Intel users and, maybe, AMD Radeon users as well but if you are using Win11 update 24H2, we can blame this also as it has faults and some games are not launching because of the faults, intermittently at random.
Someone in another thread tested Win11 vs Win10 on their GPU and WIn11 crashed but Win10 worked fine (I think the second system was their friends tho but it was the same 2080Ti GPU on both).
It could also be a mixture of the game itself and maybe the OS, especially pertaining Win11 update 24H2.
This worked for me thank you so much. Legend.
1. Click start and search for settings then click settings.
2. Select Update & Security.
3. Select Windows Security in the left side tabs.
4. Select Virus & Threat Protection in the protection ares in the right.
5. Click Manage Settings under Virus & Threat Protection Settings.
6. Scroll down until you see Controlled Folder Access then click on Manage Controlled Folder Access.
7. Click Allow an app through Controlled Folder Access.
8. Windows Security will prompt then select yes.
9. Click on Add an allowed app.
10. Find WWE2K24_x64 and add it.
11. Launch the game.
Hopefully this will help and the problem won't persist anymore.
I allready Tryed this and basically evey other "Fix" out there, all my Drivers are up to Date, my windows too. I did change the config files, add exceptions in firewall and so on and so on. There is no real "existing" fix i did not try :( Nothings working. I opened a ticket now on 2K, the only response i got is that they have a lot of requests and it will take time to get a answer to my Problem... so yeah, we will see
I have seen the audio hiccups but only when Exclusive Mode is turned on (default) in the sound settings.
One issue someone pointed out is Chipset Driver Updates (which is something not many people care to learn about) which could be a legitimate cause of crashing and not loading issues (I updated my x370 board prior to launching this game).
WWE 2K25 is already available to pre-order so I reckon they've moved all their resources into that. Looks very similar to 2K24 so likely using the same engine with the same bugs, meaning I cannot justify buying 2K25 when it's actually released.
Here you got the answer from them, so if you got the same problem as me this might fix your game:
2K Support:
I found the error 0xc0000005 which was generated after the crash of WWE 2K25. This error generally means that the game is trying to access a cluster of memory that is currently being deleted by another software hence it cannot run properly. So, in order to troubleshoot this, we will try to first clean boot and then try to run the game. Please follow the steps below:
1) Click on the Start button and in the search field type "msconfig"
2) In the list of results you will see "msconfig", right-click and select "Run as Administrator"
3) In your resulting "System Configuration" window, click on the "General" tab
4) Choose "Selective Startup" and uncheck "Load startup items"
5) Click on the "Services" tab.
6) Click on the checkbox next to "Hide all Microsoft services." This will remove all of the Microsoft services from the Services list and keep them from becoming disabled.
7) Click on the "Disable all" button.
8) Click "OK."
9) Reboot PC
In case this does not work, please try to reinstall the DirectX and VCredist,
after these steps if the game is working and we want to pinpoint the Troublemaker app:
Now it may be difficult to pinpoint which application is eating away the memory on the background. So, in this case, we can run the system file checker to look for the corrupted files in your system and repair them. To run System File Checker (SFC), follow these steps:
In the search box on the taskbar, type command prompt, press and hold (or right-click) Command Prompt, then select Run as administrator > Yes.
At the command prompt, type sfc /scannow (note the space between sfc and the /). Scanning will take a few minutes.
If SFC finds corrupted files and replaces them, restart your PC and check if the issue persists.
Hope this helps some people to get the game running again! <3
At first this worked, it got past the white screen to the paragraph of text. However, then the game froze and crashed. My money is on it being a 2k bug that won't be fixed due to early access for 2k25 coming next Friday.
