Unlocking MyGM roster?

Okay, so I played this game previously by... let's just say other means... but bought it during the sale here. I literally only play MyGM Mode, but after buying it, when I went to redo my custom roster pool, like 40% of the people are locked and I can't edit their contract status, face/heel affiliation, or wrestling type.

I've seen it mentioned elsewhere in little detail about them having to be "unlocked" in MyFaction or something else. If this is the case, it's the dumbest thing I've seen in a 2K game, as I have 0 interest in playing those modes whatsoever.

Could someone explain to me like I'm stupid, in detail, how exactly I make it so everything's unlocked (at least the people I own in the game, I bought Deluxe so I have the main DLCs) in MyGM's custom roster so I have full control over the pool.

"Persona's" and those 2K CAWS's are from "MyFraction" while others come from "Showcase" and some arenas will also come from "MyRise" modes - so it's really a strange mix (I personally am not a fan of the online lockable's in MyFraction) - and the DLC you can buy to "unlock everything" doesn't unlock "MyRise" stuff or "MyFraction" - not sure about "Showcase", however - it 'tis a mess.

If you go to options -> roster -> superstars, wrestlers that need unlocking have an icon that tells you where/how to unlock them. Not sure if the 'store' wrestlers have one, but dlc, myfaction, and showcase wrestlers all do.

To be clear, I'm talking about MyGM mode. Where like for example Stone Cold is a contract, and in custom roster I can't change him to active, or put him heel, etc. There's a bunch of people in the list with the lock icon like this.

Yes, and you can change those characters once you have unlocked them elsewhere in the game.

I also bought this for MyGM.... but damn. It was much better last year.. everything is locked. :( ..and Brock Lesnar is not present at all in MyGM, only in Showcase...
