ONLINE issues/errors
Dear 2K Support Team,

I am writing to report some issues we have encountered while playing WWE 2K24. Below are the details of the problems we have experienced:

1) - Gameplay: we have noticed that during matches, there are instances where the gameplay becomes slow and unresponsive, affecting the overall experience.

2) - Slow Motion: Occasionally, the game seems to go into slow motion, making it difficult to execute moves and maintain the flow of the match. This does not happen in WWE 2K23!

3) - Online Desync: When playing online matches, there have been instances where the game desynchronizes between players, leading to unfair outcomes and frustration. There was a patch fix regarding this issue in patch note 1.03, and we haven't encountered the issue until yesterday. Desync still occurs.

4) - Online Crashes: The game has crashed multiple times while attempting to play online, resulting in replacing A.I and it really gives a negative user experience.


These issues have impacted our enjoyment of the game, and we hope they can be addressed in 1.05 update. Today WWE 2K24 released patch fix 1.04 which did not resolve our issues, it still occurs. There are several reports regarding issues about WWE 2K24 online mode in WWE 2k Discord server. Please check #game-report-issue channel as we have addressed the issues. There is no point of having that channel if 2K developers isn't checking out our reports. We paid good money for this & this is what we get? Please be considerate.

Have you sent in a ticket to 2K Support yet?

Responses can take multiple days depending on how many tickets they have in the queue. It can be over a week at peak times.

2k need to buy servers like Blizzard do, even their 10 year old games never lags. Apparently its their hardware server, feels like connecting to 56k modem

Ranked is basically unplayable. You either get no reversal prompts, the opponents just runs through you and scores a pin, bc the game becomes unresponsive. With their new focus on ranked rewards, MyFaction (despite some of the big improvements) has become straight garbage again. Most of us just get locked out of rewards bc we refuse to play the broken online mode

EDIT: Oh yeah the best thing is, when you finally find a game and it immediately crashes after showing the loading screen, resulting in you losing rank points

Yeah bro lol this will never be resolved. Anytime you ask 2k it’s your issue because of hardware etc.

That's the cynical way to look at it. 2K Support have to eliminate your PC as the reason before sending a report to the developers. That's why they have to go through the troubleshooting steps with you first.

At times the cynical way is the right way to look at an issue.

People have been complaining about server issues for at least the last 3 years, and there seems to be no progress improving them. How do you expect people to react?

I disagree that the cynical way is the way to look at the particular statement "Anytime you ask 2k it’s your issue because of hardware etc." because what I said above is one of the main functions of 2K Support. FROFROSAGGINSXX is choosing to interpret that as 2K blaming the hardware as the only reason for the issue when that's not the case.

Funny that your reply ignored the 2nd part of my post, which gives the reason for the cynicism.

I'll ask again; given the history and results of the problem, how do you expect people to react?

I ignored it because I didn't think it was related to FROFROSAGGINSXX's comment about 2K Support. At least, I don't see why a continued issue means someone should be more cynical about the Support team's intentions behind doing troubleshooting. Their role hasn't changed and they do the same thing whatever the issue is.

The definition of insanity is repeatedly doing the same thing and expecting a different result. So for at least 3 years they have been querying users hardware/internet and nothing has changed. Perhaps they need to look for the problems their servers have been having a little closer to home, hmmm?

Then again, universe mode has been bugged for at least the same timeframe, and little is done about that either. Myfaction otoh, gets almost all the dev time it seems.

2K is a classic appearance of 'we have your money, now go away, unless you want to give us more'.

Remember that 2K are not the developers, Visual Concepts are.

2K Support does troubleshooting and if that doesn't help, creates a report to send to the development team. They don't look at the servers, fix Universe bugs or anything like that. They filter out issues that are due to something on the user's side and translate tickets into workable information for the developers.

Maybe VC need to diagnose what's going on with the server connection, but if it's working for them, they need the information from players to work out the cause.
