Is MyFaction worth the money or effort?

Just did a rough cost of obtaining all cards from the latest pack.
There are 238 cards.
So if you are using Virtual Currency to purchase (AND YOU OBTAIN A PLAYER CARD EACH GO, WITHOUT IT BEING A DOUBLE) That would cost you 3,033,600 Virtual Currency.
This equates to £630 to purchase the Virtual Currency and complete just 1 Pack series.
IMO this feels extortionate.

The only cards worth trying to get in MyFaction are the Persona cards since they get added to the roster in the other game modes. Currently, they have the event for the Ichiban Hogan Toy Persona card and what is good is that you can buy the required Hogan card directly from the Card Market for like 68K of the currency to play the event. So, if you have been playing MyFaction you might have enough for that card already. Hopefully this ends up being how all the Persona Cards are handled but I do hope that the required card prices end up going down because I do not think anyone that just gets the game can grind 68K in a week but then again, I do not play enough MyFaction to know for certain.

If you wanted to buy the currency needed for the required Hogan card, it is like $20 so that gives you an idea on how much 2K are valuing those Persona Cards in the game.

Ok say you only want the 6 best cards.
They have a draw chance of >2%. This means at best 1 in 50 draws.
So 50x6 = 300 Packs. (Again hoping you do not get a double which only rewards you at 10% of what they cost on market).
300 packs at 12700 VC = 3,810,00 VC.
That would cost you £857 of real money to purchase.
So as you can see I was being generous on cost of all cards in pack.

I think it's a fun grind mode but I would never spend cash on it. Gives me something to do when I have nobody over to play with.

I would never spend money on something like this. I was just giving an example of what it would cost. So how long would it take you to grind over 4 million MyFaction Points to get these cards (Free).

Nah, it's just a cash grab.
I tried to play online just for the achievement. I done three matches, and all 3 matches people quit because I was getting the upper hand, so it was not going down as a win when they quit.
The faction wars thing is easy, the towers are easy, but you get very little in rewards, especially time wise.
2k make EA look generous.

To be honest i dont think its in there mind you get this cards, its just in there mind how to grab your money.

Imagine the VC you earn from every match you do, self in legendary difficult, you maybe get about 100 200?
A Pack cost you whats the newest? Almost 20k VC or?
If you have a card double you get a small VC, but not a real worth of it like some 100 or 1000.

So if you think you maybe need make almost 100 Matches to get the VC for 1 Cardpackage its not fair, its just try fishing you, try bring you to buy a package with your real money.

Pretty much.

You really don't need to do everything in MyFaction. Play what you want to play. Some people just do the Weekly Towers for fun. And again, you do not need to unlock every card.

good god, don't spend real money on MyFaction. That just encourages them to lock more things behind it.

MyFaction is a par with the horrible tactics of EA and their ultimate team. Buying the packs is nothing more than gambling really. Never spend real money on cards that are rendered useless the minute the next edition of the game comes out.

They make more because you can get duplicates surely? These are then converted to MY Faction points at 10% of value at most. If they didn't do duplicates it would be easier to obtain cards instead of the same ones over and over again. Also it makes up random cards just to increase the volume so you have less chance of drawing real character Cards.
There is no reason why they can't implement a system that stop duplicates because they have in live events. If Ruby card you draw isa already owned it should select a card to the same level that you do not own. Or operate a player select direct swap card option.
But obviously this would be a player friendly option instead of money/Farming sink so probably not going to happen.

I am ok with it, but I'd never spend money on it, because I enjoy a challenge.
If you are using all the best cards, the challenge is gone.
Use the worst cards you have. Use that bronze card against that diamond card and you're in for a tough go, even against the AI.
