Can you not add custom weapons into Universe mode?

Went to add the new weapons into a match in universe and there inst an option to even change weapons... Custom matches don't work either...

You need to create a custom match in the creation suite and add the weapons in EVERY SINGLE match type you want them, and this is ridiculous

custom matches no longer work for me at all in universe mode, and the only custom matches i use are no count out because if i don't pretty much every match ends in a count out

I created a custom match and added the new weapons to the weapon wheel but I can't play that match in Universe mode. It doesn't give me the option to do that.
So how do you use the new weapons in Universe mode?

I've tried that and the weapons didn't show up for me, it reverted back to the defaults... Did this work for you?
