Shouldn't the blood be visible on the mat? I had multiiple matches throughout game modes and none ever was visible on the mat. And yes I turned the blood on in the options.

you have to bust them open and get them leaking good there is a bug where the victory screen doesn't show blood though

This year there is multiple levels of the blood and I think once you hit level 3 then it starts to leak on mat and in opponents chest. I think you really need to damage their head to get blood and I noticed this year they seem to not bleed as easily as before.

it will take a while. if they begin to bleed you will have to cause more damage till it leaks on the ground.

Yep "Level 3" is the spot and even then the hits on the mat have to be heavx attacks focused on the head. But it works... oh bloody hell it works ;)

Looks amazing when it works, last match there was a massive pool outside of the ring. looked horrific (and glorious)

Sadly matches where it really should kick in, (like showcase between Bret Hart and stone cold) it doesn't. in real life that match had blood everywhere, no matter what I did in the showcase I couldn't get it to happen.
