Cant control character in MyRise

Started when during down up down up segment when played against woods on the game with his created character zero i thought it was a one off thing but it continued into the actual match with woods cant control my character im switched controls and enabled steam input ive also disabled steam input and still nothing i was able to control character in play now

Controls don’t work in MyRise mode

After starting a first match in the MyRise Undisputed mode, I can’t control my character. Both keyboard and gamepad don’t work. Buttons don’t appear during reversal moments either. But everything works just fine in other modes, like regular matches or Universe modes. How can I fix this?

It sounds like you have a couple of issues there.

What controller are you using? If it's not Xbox or PS, that might explain the lack of icons.

For the MyRise issue, try this.
Open Device Manager and then in Human Interface devices, disable any "HID-compliant game controller" that isn't the one you are using. If you go into "Play Now" when you select a side, you'll see your controller is not "1". when you disable it, 1 will disappear. now restart your game and your controller will be 1.

MyRise controller bug

I can't play MyRise due to a bug that doesn't allow me to control my character

As soon as I start a match I can't move my character, go to the menu or anything else. I can only wait until my opponent has defeated me.

Close the game, unplug your controller, plug It back and open your game. It works for me, the game seems to have issues if the controller is not pluged before opening the game.

i had this problem earlier, when i start the game and you get the first screen where you have to press a button to get to the next one, for some reasons i gotta wait a bit, first time, i pressed a button on my keyboard and my controller refused to work, then i restarted the game and waited until i could press with my controller then game, my rise, worked fine for me

Controller not working in MyRise

So, 2k22 had this issue, 2k23 had this issue, and now, another year we have 2k24 with the same freaking issue. Controller stops working as soon as match starts. But not only this, if you press ESC you can navigate through the menus using the controller, but you can not control your wrestler with it.

3 consecutive years with the same issue.

The problem is that this should be a non-issue. PLENTY of games with lower budgets manage to launch games that don't have this bug, especially through this many iterations of a game. The fact that I as a user have to go through a multi-step troubleshooting issue TO PLAY A PRIMARY FEATURE OF THE GAME is garbage. It's unfair to consumers, especially those are aren't that tech savvy. Hell my audio in ANY cutscene doesn't work while every other piece of audio works. It's ridiculous and SHOULD be embarrassing to 2K.
