Help with understanding.

Hey folks! It has been a few years for me since I last bought a WWE 2k game. And well, the controls and systems have changed quite a bit and I'm having difficulties. I was able to figure out most things while playing a match, but not everything. Could any kind soul explain to me how to do the following:
1. Target specific body parts.
It used to be pressing a shoulder button and then one of the four standard buttons.
2. Standard submission holds.
It used to be simply holding a standard button for a longer time after targetting.

1. I don't think there's a button now to target a specific body part, you just need to use your moves according to the part you want to target. (you can see in moveset which move focuses which body part)
2. For standard submission you need to hold space + grapple

Ohhh so you can't target them anymore and have to get to know your character a bit? Okay, makes sense. Thank you!

What do you mean by holding space?

Holding spacebar (modifier button) + grapple button from standing or grounded position. You can try the tutorial from performance center in options menu, if you haven't tried yet. :)

I guess I really should. Never played any tutorial in a wrestling game ever... but I guess I might have to for once.

This is true. I have no idea how he does it! But then again, I also can't get behind people using arcade sticks for fighting games. Or those fake steering wheels that don't turn in the same radius as a real one for racing games. It's whatever you got used to I guess!

Yeah 2K did a good job with controls from 2K22 onwards
