The site here suggested it only has 1.

In that case, send a ticket to 2K Support.

The Intel Arc A580 has 8GB VRAM, not 1GB. Leading me to believe this is either an Intel driver issue, or a 2K issue. Due to bias, I wouldn't be surprised if it was 2K being incompetent.

Please stop using UserBenchmarks as a source, and look at the actual manufacturer page if you intend on helping users. It's not that hard.[www.intel.com]

Anyways, I use an Intel Arc A770 LE, and come across this issue while trying to play MyRise. Another Intel Arc user in the discussions has also gotten this error so, I don't know. I've tried using a DX12 to Vulkan wrapper like users on 2K23 previously did, but instead I get a Unsupported Graphics Device error. Hope you already refunded, because I don't foresee 2K doing anything about the small market share that Intel Arc users are in.

WWE 2K24 has a memory leak... (GRAPHICS_DEVICE_REMOVED)
tl;dr at the bottom.
To preface this discussion I'd like to discuss my specs.

Specs:
CPU: 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-12700K Base speed: 3.60 GHz Cores: 12 GPU: Intel(R) Arc(TM) A770 Graphics Driver version: 31.0.101.5445 Dedicated GPU memory: 16.0 GB RAM: 32.0 GB Speed: 5200 MHz Drive(s): WD_BLACK SN770 1TB Capacity: 932 GB Type: SSD ST4000DM004-2CV104 Capacity: 3.6 TB Type: HDD

Clearly they're inline with minimum spec? We're in agreement.
This article[support.2k.com] clearly states this error (GRAPHICS_DEVICE_REMOVED) "indicate(s) that your PC, or at least a part of it, doesn't meet minimum spec." This is false, as my PC clearly meets minimum spec, exceeds it in fact. Now, further in the article it also states, "We also recommend doing a sweep of your drivers, especially for your GPU/video card."

So I've gone a step further, reinstalled Windows! Jumping ahead, of course, this error still shows. Well I've actually opened a support ticket for this once, and I was told by my lovely rep, Vicente, to move forward in the support ticket, I'll need to export DxDiag and msinfo32 files for review. Truthfully, I'm unsure what's happened after that, because the files were reviewed by Vicente (supposedly) and I was asked to run the infamous "sfc /scannow" command (which I had already ran before making the initial ticket). So, after reading "You may have to run this up to 3 times to verify/fix all the problems.", I do it, three times, again. Nothing was wrong. More steps are given regarding clean booting, and verifying integrity of files, et cetera, I have done all this before I even made the ticket, but I humour Vicente and follow through anyway. At this point, after informing Vicente that none of it did a thing, they wanted me to run these tests again. Maybe because it's naturally assumed the end-user may be incompetent, I'm unsure. So I stopped answering, and naturally the ticket was closed. This occurred 15 days ago. Move forward to today, I came home and decided to reinstall Windows, fresh install, fresh drivers. I also noticed patch 1.06 was out (I hadn't touched the game), with a very descriptive non-vague patch note: Stability Improvements. That seems like good news! I install the update, and I try it again. Open MyRise, SAME ERROR. I follow through with exporting DxDiag and msinfo32 again, and review the files myself this time.

+++ WER9 +++: Fault bucket 2158838118469518587, type 5 Event Name: RADAR_PRE_LEAK_64 Response: Not available Cab Id: 0 Problem signature: P1: WWE2K24_x64.exe P2: 1.0.0.0 P3: 10.0.26100.2.0.0 P4: P5: P6: P7: P8: P9: P10:

I find this in DxDiag. Taking note of the event name, I've looked this up, and per "Rob, an independent and a 14 time and dual award MVP specialising in Windows troubleshooting and Blue-screen analysis." (OK buddy): "RADAR is Microsoft's Memory Leak Detector so that error indicates an App/program is not properly handling memory." So this event, indicates a pre-leak, supposedly, meaning the OS' RADAR function thinks this becomes a memory leak. So I've created a new support ticket, in response to my last one, indicating that I've reinstalled Windows, I'm on the latest patch, and clearly pointing out there's an issue with WWE 2K24 itself, not us.

If you face the GRAPHICS_DEVICE_REMOVED error, and you're certain that you meet minimum spec, this is probably your problem. You need to hope that 2K, the oh lovely Take-Two interactive company owned 2K, will fix this memory leak for a game that's been out for 1 month and 19 days. Thank you Vicente for giving me the resources to actually find this information myself!

tl;dr 2K24 has a memory leak and it was clearly labelled in my DxDiag export. Nothing's been done about it since patch 1.04.

It's also worth noting, at least for me, trying to use a DX12 to Vulkan wrapper (like vkd3d-proton[github.com]) doesn't work and just results in a "Your graphics device is unsupported" error, even after utilising dxvk-gplasync[gitlab.com] to spoof my device and vendor ids. I went even further, and tried getting around this error with d3d12ProxyEdrDx11_0[github.com] and using vkd3d-proton[github.com] with it, only to face the same WSOD (white screen of death).

Thank you for posting this! The game worked totally fine up to 1.04.

Ever since then, it's been headaches.

Merged threads with the same issue on Arc GPUs. Please send in a ticket to 2K Support.

Update:
My ticket has been responded to, this time with further progress. 2K is now aware of the issue and they’re currently tracking how widespread it is, so please, upvote this community post!

I wouldn’t until patch 1.07 is released. It’s a crucial patch that I hope addresses all these PC issues.

Is this still happening with anyone else? Last night, I had no problems but today, this error message started appearing and I don't know why?

I wonder if this (the memory leak) is what's happening to me.
I just downloaded and tried to play for the first time last night, and when opening one of the card packs during the MyFaction tutorial, my monitor went black, said there was no input detected, and then I heard a device disconnect sound, and a windows error sound. obviously I couldn't read what the error was because my monitor wasn't responding, but when I rebooted my PC and checked Device Manager, my GPU wasn't working. I manually reinstalled the driver and was able to launch the game and make a custom wrestler, and by that time it was very late so I exited the game. My monitor disconnected again about 10 seconds after exiting the game, but with no windows error sound like before. I shut down my PC and went to bed, got up, turned it back on, and this time my GPU is still functioning at least.

I don't want to have to reboot my pc every time I'm done playing, or whenever the game decides it's had enough. I'd like to actually play the game I paid for.

EDIT: my graphics card is a radeon 570, with 8gb VRAM. my gpu is not the problem.

Hate to give you all a rather unideal solution, but it works.

I switched back to Linux. Currently running the game under Wine w/ no issues. I’m finally playing MyRise on a $60 game that came out almost 4 months ago now. You shouldn’t have to switch your operating system just to play a game. Wish you lot luck and hope 2K addresses this sometime soon. Godspeed.

My specs:
ASUS TUF506IU-ES74, 15.6'' 1920x1080, 144Hz
AMD Ryzen 7 4800H
RAM 16GB
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti 6GB

My system has recommended specs, but it still has the same issue even on the WWE 2K18. The only known solution to this issue is to adjust your computer settings to a lower specification. It appears that the game is struggling to handle both 4K and 1080p resolutions with this graphics card, so the safest option is to use 720p or a non-Arc system instead.

I changed the in-game screen resolution to 1280x720 (60 Hz or 144 Hz), or in the config.ini file (Users\Documents\WWE2K18) if it works, so it should run well. I also changed Optimizations Default Graphics settings and turned on Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling.

I'm going to add my 2 cents as an alternative. I've had graphic card errors like that it was windows causing it... windows has a bad habit of uninstalling your graphic card drivers and putting their own graphic drivers. Now that might not be the case here, but I just wanted to add that. If it is windows you just have to reinstall your graphic card drivers, there are settings you can use to stop windows from doing that. a quick google search and you can get the answers if hat is the case.

I don't get the error anymore because I check for update for my graphics card on a regular bases

Were you able to fix this error on an Intel Arc GPU?
