Can't do a com vs com match?

So I remember in, was it 2k20, that for some reason I could not do matches without actually participating in them. All previous games I would do elimination chambers and 30-man rumbles with my CAW's and just let the computer do its thing. But I remember getting very angry in 2k20 about not being able to do any computer controlled matches and I remember a lot of the community being equally annoyed about it.

I went to put on a rumble just now and saw that it was once again a case of moving my 1p icon down to the bottom to allow a com controlled match, but constantly put me into the player slot when clicking A/accept.

Is this yet another WWE game where I have to play in the matches and can't just watch the computer do its thing or am I doing something wrong?

Cause I swear to god if this is another WWE that has ruined the one thing I get these games and will pretty much have to stick with the universe mode again and not actually watch matches I will probably refund my game.

it should still say COM when selecting it just wants you to select the slot to then pick the wrestlers your selecting. I've done a ton of CPU vs CPU in the game so far and it works fine

I'll have another go now. The old games when you moved your 1P icon to the bottom it stayed there and showed you it was a com controlled person. This one, like 2k23, moves it back up to the character select.

That's been throwing me off for a while too, so you're not alone there. But once you get the hang of how the process works, you'll be doing COM vs COM matches without thinking.

Extra potential tip... For rumbles, remember that to edit the participants, you have to go into Match Options.

Yeah I've finally figured out that whilst it does move the 1p icon, it does count you as having selected com player. Just a weird way to do. As for the rumble thing, I vaguely remember that from the old games. However, only at 5 CAW's atm, got another 15 or so to make, then 5 more to come up with and I'm guchi... then gotta start work on the female wrestlers XD
