Showcase unlockables cheat?
Is there a way to get the showcase unlockables without having to do it?

I despise showcase. I wish I could fire the code for it into the sun. But I want the characters, most of which have been base game unlocked in previous years without having to jump through hoops.

Any way to do this? I don't care if it's a cheat. I'm of the opinion that supercharger should unlock ALL as it advertises. It's a borderline fraud that it doesn't.

if you have 40 years of Wrestlemania they unlock without you needing to play out the full match.

And if not? Only deluxe for me.

If you buy the 40 years of mania DLC it'll unlock all the superstars from showcase but not the arenas. you'll still have to playthrough SC for those. If you have no interest in the arenas than I'd suggest just buying that. EDIT: its a DLC pack on the store you can buy right now regardless of version.

Why? The DLC is clear about what it unlocks.

Yes it is. It is supposed to unlock 'ALL WWE Legends available at launch' (note ALL is in caps as an emphasis - theirs, not mine) and 'as well as throwback arenas' (the absence of 'all' gives them an out here)

Now, who are considered legends? According to their own website, this category includes:
"Ravishing" Rick Rude
“Rowdy” Roddy Piper
Bret “Hitman” Hart
Ultimate Warrior

and others. Just using these as a sample of the problem.

What do these have in common? When starting the game, none of them are in fact unlocked, despite having purchased and activated deluxe edition, which includes supercharger.

The blurb on the steam page for the game mentions the showcase, but nowhere does it mention showcase is required to be played to unlock these wrestlers. Hence, a potential purchaser is left with the impression that supercharger does unlock 'ALL WWE Legends available at launch', which it does not.

It's weird but they are unlocked... I'm on the 3rd showcase, and if you win or lose the match, or if you do or don't do what the prompts tell you, you get the legends for that show case unlocked with out having to grind for them. It's just weird that you have to unlock the showcase to get them (you only have to start the showcase for the next showcase to unlock, very odd)

Doesn't work for me. Played the Bret Hart/Roddy Piper 2x (lost b/c the AI seems to reverse everything I need to do). Neither are unlocked, and neither is the next match.

Waiting for Zeokage to explain why it still isn't a bait and switch or fraud, even after I have shown that it is.

did you by the 40 years version by any chance? the superstars in the showcase are unlocked from the moment you boot up the game with 40 years of mania. The only thing that doesn't unlock is the arenas

No, I want what I paid for.

You are in no position to comment. You don't even own the game.

I can see where you're coming from, but that same piece of the blurb is where the marketing talk comes in.

By "available at launch", the only legends/alumni you can unlock without any barriers the moment you go into the game for the first time are those in the Purchasables menu in the in-game store. You have 1000 WWE tokens which allows you to unlock one of them, and the SuperCharger unlocks them all.

It's the same as every year, but I can see where someone who hasn't got previous years' experience with the game's DLC could get the impression you did.

The characters you listed have other requirements to unlock them, and those in Showcase are unlocked by the 40 Years pack. There might be some in MyRise/MyFaction that need to be earned in different ways too.

It is still deceptive marketing that is illegal in many jurisdictions. Those other requirements are not mentioned anywhere in the marketing.

Did it work for the others? my first was Macho Man vs Steam Boat, then Andre vs Hogan, now it's Warrior vs Rick Rude. I have them all unlocked and I haven't won the Andre Hogan match, or the Rick Rude Warrior match. you played more then me, so maybe its a bug?

This is 2k. They take your money and run and give you half of it. They're verbiage with "all" is small

You are welcome to that opinion. While I personally agree the messaging could be more specific on exactly what it unlocks, it has been like this since 2K20 and the text is not incorrect, which is the main point.
