PC NEXT GEN?

Wanted to ask if its Next gen or not?
ik that 2k23 was Next gen on PC.

I have a 4k 120hz monitor, run 90% of my games at both and when a game is locked at 60fps it's not the end of the world. I grew up in the 80s, so maybe i'm just more easily adaptable.

Not every game needs to be 120fps, I play games not frames.

Last year it was exactly the same story... it was thew exact same game as the PS5 version.

Its not the question if you see a difference, the question is do you need it for a game like this and can your hardware handle 120fps. The newest 4080 Super cards officially support 120fps for 1440p, think about it! You can force your system to do 120fps in 4k but its not recommended by the manufacturer! Also it depends on the games you play. New Shooter and Racing games are made to handle 120fps, all other genres are not. And also you dont develope games at the high end, you develope games for the middle class PC´s most of the time because you want to sale more copies.

This is asked as it's the same publisher who has been given PC the PS4/XBO versions of NBA2K since the new consoles came out. I don't care about the frame rate above 60 or whatever, it's more so the features to make sure it's identical with PS5/XSX version.

I can actually answer that.

The past present and future co-exist simultaneously, however, as we are 3 dimension dwellers and not 4 dimension, At any and every given moment, by the time you semi-perceive an event (without limitation), it has already moved into the past.

And as time travel is not possible for 3 dimensional dwellers, we are unable to (peer) into the future in any meaningful way.

Thusly, for us (3 dimension dwellers) we can only perceive the idea of the past, are unable to fully grasp the present as it (at the speed of light) slips from our grasp and moves into the (past), and lacking a way to enter 4 th dimension reality, must only opine about the (future).

its not equal at all, you can clearly see the difference in WM31 daytime arena... PS5 versions have better shadows and PC version dont have them at all

Below is the example CyberShek is mentioning about the WrestleMania 31 Daytime arena. I wish I knew someone who owns the game on the PS4 or older Xbox that could try that match and let me know if they also are seeing the same issues as the Steam version as then it would confirm that the Steam version is last gen.

PS4 is the old gen version of WWE and the PC is the new gen version. Completely difdeeent

IMO, if a game can run on last gen systems with minimal issue/difference, it's not next (current) gen.

but yeah this bothers me that the framerate caps are still here. Nothing in this game can't be rendered at 60 FPS by my RTX 4090 at 4K, yet lots of it gets capped to 30.

This is pretty disappointing coming from the same Visual Concepts that wowed me with the original NBA 2K and NFL 2K games on Dreamcast.

I believe the only difference is some slight, slight textures that you'd really need to zoom in for and entrances being lower FPS.

This isn't like 2K NBA where you're missing full modes and crazy graphical changes.

Since I asked if it was "NEXT GEN" I have read through a few things.
And I can say that the PC version is the same as the PS5 version (in terms of graphics etc, except WM 31 Arena because it's buggy"
The graphics will only be like last gen if your PC is too weak / as strong as a PS4.

And most of the 2K24 trailers were recorded on PC.

I think it has to do with 2k releasing the last few NBA on PC that were the gen version as opposed to the current gen. No reason for them to do that other than being a lazy PC port.
