players who preorder WWE 2K24 will also get the Standard Edition of WWE 2K23 for free

Yeah but it would make the 120 price tag worth it cause you'd get 2 games instead of one.
Especially if you are like me and only get maybe 60 hours or less from each one 2k23 only lasted me 56 hours universe mode was a bit restrictive and couldn't do what I wanted to do.
120 too much for 1 game I aint going to get 120 hours out of.
I expect to get a hour of play for each dollar I spend other wise I view it as a bad buy.

Only modes I even play are My GM and universe and if universe was set up like my GM where I could run universe like normal multi show weeks but each show sat up like my GM with budgets and contracts I'd get ton more use out of game and never touch My GM mode but tag teams need some work also where if I got a 4 man faction I should be able to make each member a tag team in tag team ranks but can't.

Don't care how there is 2 different versions of characters either and counting as separate characters for example there is Hulk hogan the face and Hulk hogan the heel why do we need 2 different characters when an attire change is all that is needed even if there was just a option to select in character profile to set as face or heel to determine attire .

Look at NwO if I want to have all 4 members tag team in a division I'd have to use the Nwo and outsiders version and set hogan & 1-2-3 kid or what ever name is I know not right but can't never remember his name with NwO as tag for NwO then use outsiders to have Hall and Nash team then in match if I got Hall and Nash teaming looks pretty weird if Hall & Nash NwO runs out and interferes in Outsiders match kinda kills immersion in universe mode.

largely false economy as the older game is often on sale for less than $10 once the new game arrive, we already saw 2k23 in a humble bundle months ago for example.

Yeah I really need to quit jumping on WWE games as soon as they release been that way since wcw/nwo revenge soon as game drops I get it screw with it for a bit then regret buying it but if pick it up later when dirt cheap probably wouldn't have the regret. Everytime I see game I get hyped after couple hours always start thinking dang should've waited till next year and got it and be a year behind lol.

Yeah, it's hard to not get caught up in the hype every year.
Developers/Publishers are never forthcoming with the downsides of their new games, so it's easy to fool yourself into thinking "This year's going to be the BEST iteration ever!"
The way I look at it, if the developers haven't *specifically* mentioned something, it's healthy to assume that it won't be in the game.

Not even the hype that gets me I never pay much attention to that just habit if Hulk Hogan in it I get it have ever since I was a kid starting with his lunch boxes in the 80's to the stupid little thumb wrestlers and wwf all-stars on nintendo as a kid he was my favorite wrestler loved watching him in wrestle mania 3 slam big ole Andre.

I heard somewhere that free 23 keys will be given in March 5 (near the 24 release date). Is it true? Or do you get to play 2K23 as soon as you pre-order 2K24?

This is what it says on the store page:

"Pre-Purchase your copy of the WWE 2K24 Deluxe Edition and receive the digital-only version of WWE 2K23".

It's restricted to the deluxe version only, so if you pre-order standard, you don't get a free copy. There are no date or other restrictions it seems.

well just picked up mine from Greenman on preoder, and they issued the wwe2k23 key immediately, meaning it's giftable unlike steam store version thats account locked for the bonus game, also saved £20 off wrestlemania edition.... so I'm good for next month :)

not true... Deluxe AND Wrestlemania editions get the free copy of 2k23 instantly. I know cos preordered my Wrestlemania edition today and got the 2k23 key separately off an alternative game store, and unlike the steam store editions, it isnt locked to the same account as the preorder game (so basically if your account on steam already has 2k23 you get nothing but 2k24 and cant gift 2k23 to anyone else if bought on steam store).
