Missing Genre?

I noticed that there should be an Animation genre in the game, as one of the studios give a bonus to the genre. However, I can not choose it from the options in the game. Is there something I'm missing, Do you need certain research to unlock it? Edit: thanks Alagesia for the clear answer!

The animation genre is indeed fully implemented in the games' systems, but the developers seemed to have disabled it in the game currently.

I asked them about this in the discord and this was the response:

We agreed with that feedback and decided to take off this genre. But we kept all the assets in for competitors movies that can be animation and for modders in the future

I'm planning to make a mod for this in the future, but for the time being, if you want to play with animation, you only have to change 1 line of code:

1. Browse to: .../Steam/steamapps/common/The Executive/Data/Shared/Other/Enums.json
2. In the genre list (with all the other genres), add an entry with "animation", this will enable it in the game

If you do this, Animation will fully work in the game; this only works for animation though.
