Chinawood too easy?
I have started the game several times doing the Hollywood route.
Seemed OK and my last attempt I won Best Picture once and was nominated 3 times in 10 years. Only about 1/3 of my movies made money and never got a score rating above 9.5, 9, 9.7, 9, 9.5.

I decided to try Chinawood. In a 10 year period I was nominated 4 times and won Best Picture twice. Every single movie made at least $100k or more profit. I now have over $130M in the bank and only recently moved into the Medium studio with 9 employees.

Seems odd but I'll take it.

Well in a sense Chinawood would be very easy mode, think about it, on one hand the Chinese market is FAR bigger than the North American market, on the other hand the Chinese market is also far more isolated, so the competition is far smaller, so logically you'll make more money far easier than with Hollywood. Well I assume its the logic they went for with it.

Also you'll note its why Hollywood has been doing some pretty serious Chinese appeasement & appeal work since the last dozen years or so, they realised their was a billion people market in China that wasn't properly tapped unless you are willing to cater to the Chinese market, so they have been shifting to a pro-China stance and make a version which edit out black people as much as possible for said market.

Makes sense.
I noticed my biography and martial arts movies are the biggest money makers and the ones that got me the awards.
