How to get higher prestige?

My highest prestige value was 3.2 but from there it just kept dropping all the way to 1.5 at the end of the game, what do I do to increase it?

You need to make movies all the time. And make bigger ones too. I had the same problem in my first playthrough, and I was only making about one movie per year. Just finished another playthrough, and I finished with about 5.0.

How do I make more than 1 movie per year??

Having more directors, and/or making smaller movies.

Each producer you hire can work on their own movie.

Also, your CEO isn't being used from beginning, all the way until your movie has left theatres. Once post-production is done(I think that's the final stage), he's idle again. Get him writing right away!!
