Feature Request - Optional "Stay Alive" Extract
Potential hot take here, but as a solo player, I don't like the mandatory "Stay Alive" extract featured on some maps. Call it a skill issue, but it is more often than not a death sentence at the end of my run. It doesn't feel good to work hard at clearing a map, only to have a steady stream of new spawns hunt me down to my exact location. Feels like that would be better suited for its own game mode or something.

Would it be possible to implement that type of extract as a toggle feature when choosing a map, similar to selecting "Night" or "Hardcore"?

I agree, since half the time I play everyone has quit the match just before exfil because they died too many times. The rest of the time you have to kick the TK KIDS who show up in every match.
the exfil is one of the few things i utterly hate about the game. you spend 30 mins completing a mission and doing everything right, no deaths. and then in the extfil you die because you get run over by 30 armored AI that one shot you across the map and the entire mission was a waste of time....

TLDR: it's annoying. please make it at least possible to disable it in the modifiers.

Totally agree with this - absolutely despise that mechanic during exfil. The whole "tactical" aspect is completely ruined when the game essentially becomes a horde shooter with endless waves of enemies at the end of the mission.
I agree. Literally no one on my squad likes this feature. This is where the majority of our runs suddenly end after ~45 minutes of methodical, coordinated gameplay. The chaotic exfil phase feels unfair and out of our control. The only method that we have found to survive it is hiding inside of spammed smoke grenades, which feels cheap and lame. Please, make the "survive 90 seconds of Horde Shooter Mode at exfil zone" an optional objective.

I agree with this, my favourite map is incoming storm, simply because it doesn't have the survive bit at the end. If not an optional modifier, then a rare random chance of an attack on exfil would be much better.

I like the murder dome exfill. I think the shootout mode and a mission you could have like a short mission but then once you get to exfil you have to survive 2 rounds of enemies. Run into the building and get a hostage or defuse a bomb, grab a suitcase. Then run out to a vehicle on like a street. Then a bunch of gang members don't like that and they rush the squad from every angle and all you have is the house, a shed, the extract vehicle. Maybe a truck comes out of another building and starts shooting at you.

I love the truck that appears during missions I feel like if we had a mission where we had like 5 trucks come through a road and we have to ambush it. That would be super cool. People who know anything about ambushes can actually teach other players about them.

Not any more since the update. The ground work has been laid for a terrorist hunt mode if you look at the patch notes. There are also talks to rework the solo exfils.

Yeah I saw the mention of the upcoming T-hunt mode - looking forward to that. AND the number of enemies is now predetermined at the start of the mission with the latest update. No more enemies randomly spawning as you're clearing the map!

The number of enemies in each mission was always pretty consistent. You're being shown the information up front now. The number when you spawn doesn't include any waves or triggered spawns like grabbing the Incoming Storm intel or the Trident laptop.

It does change the way they spawn around you in subtle ways, though. Doing a full clear on Hammer Fire is pretty hectic now. Everyone's got to be paying more attention. I like it.

Oh I see, I think I misunderstood then. I thought this meant that the number of enemies is pre-determined AND they're all spawned at the beginning of the mission, instead of being randomly spawned as you progress.

One of the things that always bothered me is how you clear a section, look away for a moment then look back and there is suddenly an enemy. And there is no logical explanation for him to be there other than he just materialized in that spot.

Hopefully that's changed with this recent update. I haven't tried it yet.

I'd rather them all spawn at start. The few who find themselves on their own could run towards the main objective to help defend it, after we have thinned out the crowd.

They shouldn't be sniping us on night missions when they have no NODs on.

This. Totally agree.
It’s not a “milsim” if you can’t plan exfil without CoD style dramatic “stay alive until evac comes in” firefight.

Hopefully someday devs would make it optional, or make all the enemies respawn at start and “stationed” somewhere. So we can do some recon before infil and avoid them.
i agree the stay alive would be great as a optional choice
