Gun bugging out?
Um my gun is how would I say unequipping it's self? I hold it then it let's go of the gun after a couple of seconds even though I'm still holding down the button to hold it. Am I stupid? :pecho_default: :CryingGhost:

I'm experiencing the same issue, though it results in my left hand releasing the grip (which still sucks).

ive got similar issues which werent in 0.8 beta, full release somehow broke things

I'm having the same issue. I am left handed and the gun keeps un-equiping itself...

If you're using Virtual Desktop there's a known bug. For most players switching to the OculusXR build of the game fixed it. Try that first. You may have to further change your OpenXR runtime.

There have been a small number of PC players who connect with other methods experiencing this. Getting them on the OculuxXR build also seemed to fix it.

Yeah same thing for me, my character couldn't hold the gun, just kept un-equipping. I use the quest 2.

This was my fix, worked flawlessly for anyone still wondering :)

There is further information on this issue. It may have been tracked down to the Quest controllers to go to sleep very quickly and switching to hand tracking. Virtual Desktop apparently isn't handling this very well. If you turn hand tracking off it may fix the problem without doing anything else. I believe this is why I couldn't reproduce this bug myself since I already had that off. Not sure why switching to the OculusXR build also solved it for nearly everyone.

In the Steam library go to the game's Properties -> Betas and select the version that ends with "OculusXR." It will trigger a brief download and quick install.

It glitches out when I turn on OculusXR. It opens the game in a non VR way. Im on a quest 2 PCVR. How do I fix it? It's literally opening it as it would any other game, on my PC instead of my headset.

First try turning off your hand tracking and see if that helps now that we know it's related.

Second is to check in your SteamVR settings for any OVR overlays. Sometimes they interfere.

Third thing you may need to do is switch your OpenXR default runtime. While you're in the SteamVR settings check to see where it's assigned. If it's already on Steam open the Meta Link software and change it to that. Basically try whatever you're not on.

Anything else would need more info like how you're connecting to your PC.

In your SteamVR settings go to the OpenXR section and you'll see a button that says "Set SteamVR as OpenXR Runtime." If it is grayed out then it's already the default.
