So now what about those of us that bought this NEW Terra Tech WORLDS game? We have nearly 0 improvements to that part of the game, only seeing the constant changing to make one small group that bought TTW thinking it was a sequel to Terra Tech despite how many times Devs have said this is NOT the sequel.
This is one thing that will sour me to buying games from Indie groups. They are not listening to the majority or their own plans. They are spending time and resources that are limited on things that are not needed. TT is still on Steam and still playable, if you want that game go play it.
To the Devs please STOP building the same game we already have and start building the game I bought. I understand choices and options but if you waste money today making this game into something it is not then how will you make it to the end of development? Do you have an unlimited budget? Empyrion Galactic Survival did the exact same thing you are just starting to do. Their game is not full of bugs and issues and they have 0 money to do anything with it. They partnered with another company to try to get things done but few updates come. Will this game end up like that one? Only because you are attempting to please every single person? Last I looked this game has an excellent review score, indicating to me people enjoy the game as it is and how it is going. I am truly concerned this game will not make it to the end due to this stopping and spending months turning it into something it was not meant to be. These are options to add in the end of development not at the start.
Here is hoping my review for the game does not need to be changed in the near future.
Since we're experimenting with new modes, how about a Sandbox Mode? It's just like Balanced Mode but with no quests aside from the final one(s). To explain:
* I always find it unpleasant when I have to spend hard-earned resources to create something I'll never use in order to unlock a necessary piece of equipment. Just let me go where I must and fight as needed in order to build the thing I need to make the thing I need myself.
* Every time I start a new playthrough I must jump through the same hoops intended to introduce me to the world and show me how to overcome an obstacle. A Sandbox Mode would presume I know what I'm doing, or that I'm someone who enjoys discovering things for myself.
* As things currently are, when the plot advances much-needed pieces of equipment magically fall into my lap from thin air. If stuff can fall into my lap from thin air, why am I jumping through these hoops? Plus, I don't appreciate them half as much as I would if I went through the pains of constructing them/buying myself.
Thank you for reading, have a cool day.
This for all intents and purposes can end up a solution to not only give both sides of players what they want but to expand the game far beyond both gameplay styles, too
I am once again feeling hopeful
This.
