How to release intermediate fabricator?

iirc you need carbon fibre and silicon wafers. As soon as you pick them up out of the processor Intermediate Fab will unlock and buildable from the Basic Fab

Mine isn't even showing the option. I'm so exasperated trying to figure out how to have the option. The only quest I have open is this one. It's called "Craft the launch Pas RA7". Tells me to do it through the intermediate fabricator. I have that all hooked up and ready but the option isn't there. What am I missing? I can't seem to find help anywhere online. Thanks to anyone who can help to shed some light.

It takes Aluminium Ingot, Sodium Powder, Synthetic Polymer, and Silicon Wafer to craft, so you have to obtain them all before it will show up in the Intermediate Fab. You most likely don't have Synthetic Polymer, which is made in the Chemical Plant, and the Chemical Plant takes Aluminium Ingot, Sulfur Cake, and Diesel Drum.

A good rule of thumb is when you get a new machine, make 1 of everything it can produce (resource wise) so you don't get stuck.

Also there is a bug where if you shift click the output or cancel a task it can not give credit for obtaining that resource, so if you do have everything then just drop it all on the ground and pick it back up to unlock the "resource obtained" notification.
