TL;DR - Toss the (really DUMB idea) snapshot module and make the parts storage globally accessible like the first game.
Thats NOT a dumb idea, thats a baseline meta. I call it EDC. Whenever i go exploring i carry with me: techyard, bootstrap power generator, snapshot module, blackhole storage, repair charger and licence module just so i can sell junk on the fly. It all fits into one medium cargo and it can all be powered by your pocket powerstation <30w.
Pros:
- Respawn point is always near
- 24/7 Access to all your licenced blocks for build adjustments
- Ability to transform and make new snapshots on the fly
- Never run out of repair charges
- Sell junk or licence cool parts at will
Cons:
- Carry one medium cargo with stuff (14 reactor load)
Oh and if you think its too much of a pain to deploy/collect the minibase. It really isnt. Getting killed in the middle of nowhere and corpseruning from the other side of a planet is pain. (use shift+click while your inventory is opened to collect anything super fast)
