Can't pick up the superstructure field generator in the forest biome

I can't pick up the superstructure field generator without the bastion cargo, but it seems you only get the bastion cargo when you pick the generator. Catch 22?

Yep, I encountered the same thing and "FOR SCIENCE" recreated what I thought was going on on a fresh save. If you interact with the Field Generator BEFORE the SEED thing, the mission derps and all it'll tell you is you need the Cargo to pick it up.

i have a deep love for these games and becoming more and more frustrated everyday. everytime we get a update things get worse its like someones dangleing a carrott in front of you, i also had this issue . has anyone expeirienced losing there firing abilty after building?

I mean tbf that's why they have it broken up into live version by default and a Beta that you only get to via properties and a drop down to select it. They even have it in the patch name "Unstable-3"

As for not being able to fire coming out of build mode, yep had that too. Hitting TAB and TAB again fixed it. They also list a known bug in the patch notes with interactions with the Bastion Cargo thing being a bit hit n miss

Thanks all. I was continuing my game from unstable.2. Started a new game on unstable.3 and it all worked fine. Bastion cargo size wtf :) The superstructure mission worked, so all good for now.

Related to this, my tech got destroyed after I picked up the bastion cargo block. When I respawned, I didn't have it, and it's not with the death box. I'm assuming it's borked now and I have to restart the game. Anyone else see this?

Go back to Main Menu and and Hit Load, then select backups and you should have one right before you got the Cargo Block or started the mission.

Stuff in the "Death Box" is going to be stuff in the Cabs cargo. Normally everything else in Small, Med and Large cargo pops in a yellow box. Sounds like they forgot to have the Bastion cargo do the same. What Oztron suggested is your fix though. When I went back to limit test it, I got to it in under an hour so didn't have a backup to roll back on. Lesson learned lmao
