can't refine nobium

With most recent updates i cant seem to refine nobium anywhere

You can get it from the small pools in the swamp, it does not appear to have a use any more, and no recipes ask for it. Not sure why you need to refine it?

there are a few recipies that still need it refined but you cant unlock them w/o refining it, nad ive got a few already that needs it but cant do it

Faced the same problem, need refine niobium to build a purifier, refine niobium needs to be obtained from smelter, but it is not in the crafting list.
