Wind power - Location tips

Anyone got any good locations for wind power? I can't seem to get more than about 7 per tower in non-storm conditions

If you attach the wind speed block to your tech, you'll see it spin really fast in some areas. There's a spot in the jungle, I think it's somewhere on the North shore, that has a lot of wind. Other people have said higher on mountains is good. I just use 3 of them on the shoreline and get ~20 at a time.

I go to hill top and build up a high platform for wind turbine. Min get 10 power.

Never considered the wind meter block on a tech to check for wind speed in locations.

That's a huge game-changer for those wanting to deviate away from generators

The wind meter block is kind of limited in its use at the moment. I like that it's a UI element on the vehicle, that design is nice. But the current implementation isn't detailed enough in my opinion. For now, I'll just take a wind generator with me and place it to see the wind speed.

I hope the wind meter will get an 'on hover' numerical display in the future, just like the wind generator has now

I built a platform out to the ocean area...I get about 17 per windmill now.

I'm getting 12 near the river where you first spawn. Tried placing a wind turbine on the mountains nearby and was getting less than 12.

Have seen upto about 60 when the wind picks up around some of mine, normally about 12. Got 24 of them.
Have 5 solar panels too.
Paired with several large batteries, I don't need to burn carbon any more.

my main base is in the starting area and i built up a few levels.. lowest mine get there ate 20

the best spot i found is on a cliff edge not that far from a good spot to build thats next to the swamp and ice biomes you get about 24 power all the time.

the orange swamp base next to the ice biome, right in the middle does 20 minimum.
i started on the top floor (2nd) 10 rows of 6. now im building a tower above it for when i need more. the height doesnt seem to matter tho.

i also build on the white enemy base overhanginging the water (close to the swamp), by extending the platform over the water. also does around 20

the mountain north of the starting location and slightly west from the first boss. there's a pre-built structure up there. it's close and it's within easy distance for power poles.

it's not the best, but it's quick and it's close to where most people build their initial base.

Got 24 at the cliffs close to the west of the cross of 3 biome.

I build my base next to the swamp biom, a short ride away from the polar biom.
Right when you enter the swamp from the submerged land bridges and over the tiny island with the quartz crystals, there are mountains to the left with a plateau ontop. Each turbine gives about 24 power up there and since its in the swamp region, getting the required niobium isnt a big deal.

idk if it's necropost or not but the small mountain right next to the spawn location gives 21 power in non-storm and 141 power if it's storm.

the base down there is exacly where you spawn once you start a new world
