B-22 Meteor Turret
Am I missing something? I can't really justify putting this gun on my tech, it seems quite bad.
-The barrel can't depress at all, not even 1 degree
-The range seems comparable to the mining laser
-The accuracy is on par with the machine guns
If any of you know how to effectively use this gun or what role it's supposed to fill, please tell me.

i also wonder. the range sucks the most.

Yeah a cannon with shorter range than a machinegun is simply weird.

For the record, The B-22 has the fastest projectile speed of all direct-fire AOE weapons. I still use it, because with the AI's tendency to circle you, direct firing weapons are more intuitive to use, even if the range and accuracy sucks.

You can try to make your front wheel lower than the rear wheel, this will give your guns more depression.

the funny thing?
if you drive fast enough you hit yourself with it.
try it, very fun!

Are you thinking of the right gun...?
If you are... what the hell kind of 20-booster, 16-times-Turbo'd, ultralight tech are you driving!?!?

I like it for 2 (not especially functional) reasons;
1. It just looks cool. It's one of the nicest aesthetic weapons, so you can make pretty epic-looking tanks. They do, however, tend to under-perform in practice.
2. Multi-point connections. Most weapons have a single connection point, meaning you can attach them to a weapon mount, and that's it. No other modifiers. The B-22 is one of the weapons which can be connected to multiple parts. After the Witchfire plasma cannon, (which has dismal projectile speed,) it's the easiest to get, I think. With the right build, you can give it like 8 Recycling, 5 Armor, 5 Nanobot Repair, 4 Turbo, 4 Amplify, and 0 reactor load.
Still doesn't make it the best weapon, but it's fun. I also think heavy ammo is some of the easiest to craft, after light ammo, which you should never craft to begin with.

The tank cannon has an inaccuracy system where after firing it has inaccuracy that has to correct by not firing it. The accuracy reticule only shows if your target indicator is directly on an enemy tech and its close enough. The inaccuracy system is honestly very out of place and its the only weapon that has it as far as I know. Its especially strange for me as someone who has been in the world of realism with video games (inaccuracy isn't a thing in realism) but its obviously a balance thing.
I say its probably the best tech-murderizor weapon available due to its monumental damage per shot so long you manage the recoil mechanic and land your shots. Though I haven't gotten deep in the arctic yet and haven't tried out missiles yet so there is probably some more spicy weapons I have yet to encounter which my overtake my opinion.

I can tell you that if you have 2-4 (mainly having two weapon groups with them), its a lot of fun as you just toss enemies around and ruin them with raw firepower per shot.

Oh also, it does have good barrel depression. Its just that the barrel itself needs clearance to achieve this so mount the gun high with not much in the way should it need to aim down.

The grenade launcher has great damage as well, 4 of them firing at once can vaporize most techs.

I agree it looks cool. With reactor caps however, I can't afford to have weapons just for their looks.

I honestly forgot it existed as I have been messing with the cannon a lot ever since finding it. The perks of the cannon is that it fires straight, uses much cheaper ammo, and looks cool (its a bloody tank cannon) compared to the nade launcher.

Edit: The tank cannon also properly throws techs around which is a lot of fun where as the nade launcher just kills them. Explosive damage has always been extremely powerful in TerraTech and seems to be the case here too.

Yeah, this was my experience with the tank cannon. The thing is very easy to block from aiming down.

The accuracy reticule hardly ever shows up. You have to be very close. I don't like the concept. Just give it some built-in drawback like reload time.

I find the meteor really weirdn because long canon = long distance, no? When I see the canon I expect a long range heavy hitter, with some physic that arc the shell on long distance. Make the meteor explode on contact, and give proper physic to the shell. Increase accuracy penalty when moving or repeated shoot, making it a more stationary/longrange weapon. Then create an alternate version with a shorter canon that explode with a timer, like the actual meteor.

It's so weird the twin heavy weapon has longer range and proper physic, but not the heavy tank turret.

I don't necessary want accurate/realistic weapons, but so weird the gameplay don't follow some basic expectation, like bullet/shell weapons so slow and low range. Worlds has a more realistic feeling compared to original Terratech, but weapons feel like toys.

I tried it and don't like it. The damage output is low compared to other weapons. Hit a tech with 4 and it flys away so it seems not every shell hits. Also don't like how far the parts fly away.

Might use it to knock stuff into air and shoot them with another weapon. Fitting a few missiles works better though.

All cannons,Zeus, grenade, plasma total useless only kick enemy 4-6 total stupid and u must still ammo craft craft craft craft OMG, only usable is Aurora now

I literally just made a meteor build. Yeah, range and accuracy isn't great, and you need a LOT of clearance to swing the barrel, but with three of them you literally toss enemy techs away. I had some little green dude charging me, I shot him, and was buried in an avalanche of parts It was pretty funnny.
