Heavy guns?

I've been to all 3 biomes now, and have the small laser, aurora, vindur, grenade launcher, plasma ejector, and zeus rocket launcher. But I don't have any weapons that use heavy ammo. Are they in the game, and which biome has them?

There are two cannon type weapons you can get in the swamp and one more in the arctic. A tank cannon, a twin barrel turret and a long range heavy rifle.

The long range heavy rifle was really good for taking out plants/lightning trees out of range of their attacks in the demo, but personally I feel like the aurora is a better option for that as it can be your main weapon, can be mounted on the 3 wide weapon mount and makes the reactor cost for them zero and they take no ammo and use very little energy. I'm using 6 auroras on my current tech and it takes out everything really easily. I use the zeus are a first strike weapon, especially on those tech with the cabins covered with armour as it hits directly down on the tech and does quite a bit of damage.

For the swamp biome, I've found the bridge near the base, and I THINK I've been all the way around the island, but I haven't come across those 2 guns. I've stayed mostly to the shoreline, and occasionally have gone inland to the higher green areas. As the inland techs different than the shoreline techs? Or is it just a matter of probability for what the techs drop?

@Armitage ty mate i use the aurora too but same as DrJenkins i cant find the 2 turrets he mentioned. I found a heavy gun in the arctic, but no heavy guns in the swamp so far.
I play for 50 hours now and still looking for those guns.

I just found the turret in the swamp. I first found a crashed pod that can't be interacted with, but there was an inventory box next to it that had the turret and ammo in it. Shortly after I found a tech that dropped it, as well. Not sure if you HAVE to find the box first, though. Also found the rifle in the arctic just now.

Oh you mean the grenade launcher? i know that one.

I found the grenade launcher a while ago off of a tech, I don't think that one came in an inventory box. I found the rifle in the arctic off of a tech in a spot where I had killed quite a few techs in the past, so the drop must have been random. The rifle and the turret take the heavy ammo, not grenades. And the turret was the one I found in an inventory box.

If you go all the way north to the edge of the swamp, follow it westwards, eventually you will find a bridge with some ruins in the area etc. theres a chest by one of those ruins, it has two meteor guns which uses heavy ammo.

I found the dual cannon but i dont really like it.

But before i look for the meteorgun: How is it? Are the projectiles like the other heavy ammo guns?

Found it! ty :) For anyone intrested: Its like a tankcannon with short range, but explosive areadamage!

I'm still missing the T12 Coaxial Cannon, but I found a triple grenade launcher that wasn't on the Vehicle Block list on the wiki. Is the T12 in the swamp or in the arctic? I just cleared out the strip mine in the arctic and didn't find it there
